Lonnie Dean Abbott- age 87 of Clinton passed away Friday, June 20, 2025, at U.T. Medical Center. Lonnie was of the Christian faith, a U.S. Army Veteran and loved NASCAR Racing. Alice Anita (Russell) Corum – age 84 of Maynardville, went to her heavenly home to be with the Lord on Monday, June 23, 2025. She was a member of Fellowship Christian Church in Luttrell.
Ella (Tharp) Blankenship, age 82 of Luttrell departed this earth and went home to be with the Lord on Friday, June 20, 2025. She was a life-long member of Warwick’s Chapel Baptist Church in Luttrell. Preceded in death by her husband, Billy Ray Blankenship; daughter Robin Blankenship Murphy; parents, Lee and Ollie Tharp; brothers Eskie and John (Dora) Tharp; sisters Lucille (Herbert) Chesney, Pearlie Muncey, Inez (Charlie) Brown, Mabel Tharp, and Rozell Tharp.
Peggy Lucretia (Livesay) Vaughn – age 64 of Jefferson City Tennessee, passed away Thursday morning, June 19, 2025, at her home. She was of the Christian Faith. Marilyn Elizabeth Cates, lovingly known as “Nanny”, age 83 of Luttrell passed away peacefully Friday, June 13, 2025 surrounded by the love of her family. Born January 16, 1942, Marilyn was the heart of her family and loved by many. She loved fishing, gardening, yard sales and being surrounded by family and friends. Howard D. Hopson-age 90 of Washburn went to his Heavenly Home Tuesday, June 10, 2025. Howard professed faith in Christ at an early age and was a member of Mount Eager Missionary Baptist Church. Howard was a U.S. Army Veteran. He is preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Sarah (Davis) Hopson; grandsons, Jonathan Howard Hopson and Eric Miniard; brother, James Herbert Hopson.
Nancy Middleton, 71 of Harrogate, TN passed away on Sunday, June 8, 2025. She was born to the late Otis and Bertha Middleton on December 6, 1953. Nancy was a retiree of Wal-Mart in Middlesboro, KY and was currently employed at H.Y. Livesay Middle School in Cumberland Gap, TN. Nancy was preceded in death by her two brothers, Sylvan Middleton and Tom Middleton and four sisters, Geneva Caudill, Glenna Harrison, Reva Shepherd and Cathy Eland.

Julia Faye (Campbell) Seal – age 79 of Maynardville, Tennessee passed on to Heaven on June 2, 2025. She was a longtime member of Mount Eager Baptist Church.
Faye is preceded in death by her parents, Reverend George and Leona (Chesney) Campbell; brothers, Howard “Tommy” and Jimmy Campbell both of Maynardville. Janet Sue Overton – age 62 of Knoxville, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, May 23, 2025, surrounded by her family. She was a devoted wife and mother to her family who she loved with all her heart (even when she was on the warpath!). Janet loved the Lord and trusted Him to the end.
Kim Marie Brantley-age 66 of Maynardville went to be with the Lord Friday, May 23, 2025 at U. T. Medical Center after a 2 ½ year battle with cancer. She was a member of Beulah Baptist Church. Preceded in death by father, Bob Rice; grandmother, Helen Guy.
On Tuesday, May 20, 2025, Melanie Caroline Brantley Dykes started her day with grandbabies she treasured and went to a job she thoroughly loved and ended her day in the presence of her Savior. Melanie was born February 24, 1971 to parents Larry and Linda and born again in a Thursday night revival meeting in 1997. She was a lifelong resident of the Big Ridge Community and was a pillar and beacon to her hometown, often advocating and serving those who could not always serve themselves.
Lonnie Franklin Mabe-age 70 of Powder Springs went to be with the Lord, Tuesday morning, May 20, 2025 at his home with his family by his side. He was a Christian of the Baptist faith. Preceded in death by his parents, Fate and Nellie (Overholt) Mabe; brother, Adam Mabe.
He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Henrietta Mabe; daughters, Jennifer Overholt and husband, Tommy King, Barbara Williams and husband, Robert Williams; grandchildren, Franklin King, Addie King, Haley Willilams, Robert Williams, Jr. and several other family members along with a host of friends.
