Charles Muncey

Charles Junior Muncey – age 71 of Maynardville, went to live forever in the presence of his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, November 4, 2025. He was born on January 21, 1954 to Pearlie Lee Tharpe Muncey and Charles Edward (Edd) Muncey. Charles passed away suddenly while working at Tru (Clayton) Homes, where he had been employed for forty-two years. He was a member of New Start Baptist Church. He is preceded in death by his mother and father, special grandmother, Annie (Polly) Muncey; as well as several aunts and uncles.

Winnie Effler

Winnie Elizabeth (Cox) Effler – age 79 of Maynardville, received her eternal reward on Thursday, November 6, 2025, following a lengthy illness. She was a member of Milan Baptist Church.

Wanda June Williams

Wanda June Williams-age 81 of Blaine passed away Tuesday, November 4, 2025. She was a member of Indian Ridge Baptist Church. Preceded in death by husband, Norman E. Williams; son, Gary E. Williams; parents, Raymond and Hazel Whaley; brothers, Carroll Whaley and Bobby Whaley; sister, Karen Whaley.

James Edward Bailey

James Edward Bailey-age 26 of Maynardville went to be with the Lord, Saturday morning, November 1, 2025, doing what he loved, in a tragic boating accident. He had the biggest heart and the smartest mind. He loved God, fishing, hunting, and trucks. James never knew a stranger and was a loving husband, son, brother, uncle and friend. He was a member and Deacon of Leatherwood Baptist Church. Preceded in death by his sister, Angel Hope Bailey; grandfathers, Darrell Bailey and Buster Beeler; aunts, Joyce Nicley and her husband, L.D. Nicley, Bessie Bailey; uncle, Greg Bailey.

Kay Glann

Kay Frances Glann – 76 of Knoxville, passed peacefully into the arms of her loving savior on Sunday, November 2, 2025. She was born on May 31, 1949, to Clinton and Charlotte Older. Kay was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, prayer warrior, friend and a true light in a dark world. Kay smiled often, sang freely, prayed continuously and loved with her entire being. Laughter always filled any room she was in and you never left without a full belly and a full heart.

Danny Ray Inman

Danny Ray Inman-age 66 of Maynardville passed away Wednesday, October 29, 2025 at U. T. Medical Center. He attended Christian Redemption Center, Knoxville. Preceded in death by parents, Alan Inman, Sr. and Martha Inman; brothers, Bobby Joe Inman, Eddie Inman and Buddy Wayne Inman.

Roy Mack Witt

Roy “Mack” Witt – of Andersonville, passed away peacefully on October 30, 2025, at the age of 79. Known for his soulful voice and masterful guitar playing, Mack brought joy and comfort to those around him through music. His favorite song, “Will the Circle Be Unbroken,” was more than a melody – it was a reflection of his faith, his hope and his belief in the enduring bonds of family and love. Mack was saved as a Christian, and his life was a testament to the grace and peace he found in his faith.

Elden Ray Capps

Elden Ray Capps-age 82 of Texas Valley Road, Knoxville, passed away Sunday, October 26, 2025, at Signature Healthcare of Rockwood, where he resided the past two years. He was saved at Powder Springs Baptist Church at a young age. He was a retired manager of Pilot Oil Store, Broadway, Knoxville and Rocky Top Shell in Dandridge. He was born November 15, 1942, in Powder Springs, the son of the late Roy Lee and Naomi (Perry) Capps. Also preceded in death by his wife of 40 years, Barbara Ann Capps; sisters, Jane, Ruby, Yvonne; brothers, Jack, Ray, Coy, Loy and infant Roy Capps.

Shirley Hill

Shirley Mae Hill – age 83 of Luttrell, passed away peacefully on October 22, 2025 surrounded by her loved ones. Born February 21, 1942, Shirley was the daughter of Clayton and Helen Chandler. Shirley was known for her sacrificial love, her kind heart, her love of Sunday dinners with family, her love of flowers and especially attending all sporting events through the years of her children and grandchildren. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered for the love and laughter she brought to all who knew her.

Rev. Kenneth Osborne

Rev. Kenneth Osborne-age 90 of Maynardville went home to be with the Lord, Wednesday, October 22, 2025, at the home of his daughter. He was an Evangelist of the Baptist faith. He preached on WKXV Radio for over 40 years, along with Rev. David and Martha Evans. He was a retired employee of Tucker Steel, Knoxville. Preceded in death by his parents, Cella and Viola (Million) Osborne, wife of 34 years, Mary Lee (Davis) Osborne; son, Jonathan Daniel Osborne; five brothers and sisters.

She was a member of Romans Road Baptist Church in Bowling Green, Kentucky and was a retired medical office billing clerk for Allergy and Asthma Affiliates, Knoxville. Preceded in death by son, Jackie Douglas Murray, Jr.; her parents, J. C. Weemes, Louise Martin and step-father, Joseph Martin; brother, Joey Martin.

William "Bill" Shattuck

William “Bill” Thomas Shattuck – age 83 of Maynardville, formerly of Pontiac, Michigan passed away peacefully at home on October 18, 2025. Bill was a Navy Veteran and was an over the road truck driver for over 40 years with Bushline and Pemberton Companies. After he retired, he continued with what he loved, making and delivering candy and fudge. He also loved flea markets and a “good find”.

Robert Ray Province, Jr.

Robert Ray Province, Jr. "Slick" age 97 of Luttrell, TN went home to be with his Lord and Savior on October 15th, 2025. He passed peacefully at Fort Sanders Regional surrounded by his loved ones. He retired from Tom's Foods after 30+ years. He always had a smile on his face and shared his love for the Lord with anyone he came across. Always leaving them with the message he lived by "Keep Looking Up."

Roscoe "Cotton" Collins, Jr.-age 73 of Maynardville passed away Thursday morning, October 16, 2025 at Turkey Creek Medical Center. He was a member of the Church of God at Maynardville. Preceded in death by parents, Roscoe and Mossie (Vandergriff) Collins; brothers, Bootsie Collins, Joe Collins, Harley Collins, Roy Collins, Robert Vandergriff, Gary James Wood, Earl Collins and Roger Collins, Sr.; sisters, Geraldine Bailey, Laura Bailey and Thelma Wood.

William Conley Atkins

William “Will” Conley Atkins-age 62 of Luttrell went to his Heavenly home suddenly Saturday, October 11, 2025 at North Knoxville Medical Center. Preceded in death by his parents, Jimmy and Pearl (Wyrick) Atkins; brother, Steve Atkins and many more loved ones.

He is survived by his wife and best friend, Linda Atkins; children, Conley Atkins, Becky Atkins, Jeremy Atkins, Dillion Atkins, Tony Atkins, Kayla Atkins, Travis Atkins, Wesley Atkins; step-children, James and Jessica.

Ralph was a retired employee of Hillcrest Beverly Nursing Home. Preceded in death by his parents, Jesse James and Naomi Oliver; brothers, Jesse Oliver, Don Oliver; granddaughter, Beth “Bessie Boo” Breeden.

Tracy L. Phillips

Tracy L. Phillips-age 57 of Knoxville passed away Thursday, October 9, 2025 at Sacred Ground Hospice House with her children and boyfriend, David by her side. She was born May 17, 1968 in New York. She attended church at God’s House in Knoxville. Preceded in death by her loving husband, Ramey Daugherty; children, Brandiee Miracle and Junior Daugherty; parents, Hubert and Marlene Clester.

Bloma Rush

Bloma Rush – 99 of Washburn passed away peacefully October 8, 2025, at Sacred Grounds Hospice House. She was a member of Nave Hill Baptist Church. She served as a teacher in the Union County School System for over 40 years.
