Mary Lou (Atkins) Sexton-lovingly known as “Granny” – 91 of Luttrell, went to sleep peacefully and woke up in Glory on May 18, 2026. Born on October 24, 1934, in Lima Ohio, Mary Lou lived a life rooted in family and faith. With a humble and gentle spirit, she spent her life putting others before herself and serving her family with love. She was a faithful member of Warwick’s Chapel Baptist Church, where she actively served as the church pianist. Her love for the Lord was evident in the way she lived each day. Mary Lou was a devoted daughter, sister, wife, mother, aunt and Granny.
Susan Elizabeth (Munsey) Isbel-age 68 of Knoxville, born March 5, 1958, passed away Sunday, May 17, 2026, at Ft. Sanders Regional Medical Center. She was of the Baptist faith. Preceded in death by her father, James C. “J.C.” Munsey; mother, Jeanie Headrick; brother, Charles “Charlie Brown” Headrick; brother-in-law, Jon Kimbrough.
Imogene (Brantley) Munsey-age 87 of Maynardville went home to be with the Lord Friday evening, May 15, 2026 at her home. She was the oldest member of Fairview Baptist Church. Imogene was affectionately known by family as “The Queen of Maynardville”. Imogene served her community by serving in the Union County Rescue Squad “Crewettes” for over 30 years and drove a school bus for Union County Schools for over 40 years. She was preceded in death by husband of 64 years, Melborn (Duck) Munsey; son, Marvin Munsey; two brothers, Clarence and Ronnie Brantley; one sister, Linda Strange.
Mary Lee Campbell - age 86 of Maynardville passed away on Thursday, May 14, 2026, at Windsor Ridge Assisted Living, where she had been a resident for the last three years. She was a member of Hubbs Grove Missionary Baptist Church.
She is preceded in death by husband, Tommy Campbell; parents, Thurman and Hester Carmon; brothers, Ed and Glenn Carmon; sisters, Marie Johnson, Betty Williams, Ina Carmon and Louella Carmon.
She is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Gail and Rev. Robert Corum along with many nieces and nephews.
Marjorie Alice Wilson- born on July 9, 1932 of Maynardville, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 12, 2026 at her home surrounded by family. She was a member of Alder Springs Baptist Church.
Michael Ray Hall-age 68 of Maynardville passed away Tuesday, May 12, 2026, at Turkey Creek Medical Center. Our hearts are heavy as we share the loss of our dad and husband, he was a devoted father whose kindness, strength, and love touched everyone who knew him. Mike always instilled that you work hard to get what you wanted in life, He also was there whenever anyone needed him, Mike loved his family and held a special place for his grand kids and great grandkids. Mike is loved but never forgotten. Preceded in death by his wife, Judy Hall; son, Brian Farmer; mother, Cora B. McGee.
Michael Allen Perry, July 8, 1962 – May 9, 2026-age 63 of Maynardville, departed this life for his Heavenly home on Saturday, May 9, 2026, at North Knoxville Medical Center. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Herbert and Nell Perry; Roscoe and Mossie Collins; father, Alfred Perry; wife, Janice Perry; son, Craig Perry; grandson, Eli Smith; brothers, Alfred “Cotton” Perry Jr., David Perry, Ronnie Perry, and nephews.
Christine “Tina” Shadrick – age 73 of Maynardville born August 25, 1952, passed away May 7, 2026, after a long illness. Tina loved the Lord and singing his praises.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Ray “Fatman” Shadrick; her son, Wesley Messer; and granddaughter, Christina Rose. Tina leaves behind her daughters, Bedie (Bill) and Stephanie; brother, Joe Irwin; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; special daughter-in-law, Penny Suttles and children; friends, Lynn (Tom) Cobble, Patricia Lees, Ray (Teresa) Cabbage and Maryann Guinn.
Matthew Harrison Cobb-age 42 of Knoxville passed away Wednesday, May 6, 2026. He graduated from Bearden High School and was an Eagle Scout. After high school, Matt enjoyed a career in IT and working with computers. He loved playing video games, watching movies, learning about history, listening to music, and spending time with friends, family, and his dog, Holmes. He was kind, thoughtful, and generous. Matt was deeply loved and will be greatly missed. Preceded in death by his father, Steven Cobb; uncles, Buddy Bounds, Mike Cobb and Bill Cobb; brother-in-law, Matthew Campbell.
Billy Ray Glenn -- age 60 of Luttrell passed away suddenly Tuesday, May 5, 2026. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and spending time with his grandkids. Preceded in death by daughter, Whitney Jackson; father, Conley Glenn; mother, Della Collins; step-father, Don Waldrop; brother, Eddie Glenn; sister, Betty Glenn.
Jimmy D. Holder – 60 of Maynardville, passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his family. He loved his family, life and the beach. Jimmy was one of the hardest working people around. He taught his children to never be afraid, never give up and to work hard for everything you have. He will be with us forever.
Jesse Wayne Wilbanks “Homer” of Dandridge passed away on May 1st, 2026. Wayne was a man who measured his life not in accomplishments, but in relationships: the friends who showed up for his famous 4th of July celebrations, the neighbors who knew he would stop and help, and the family he loved unconditionally. In 2023, he retired from Knoxville Utilities Board after 35 years. After retirement, he spent his days doing what he loved most-gardening, fishing, and hunting at English Mountain Bear and Boar Club along spending time with his family and friends.
It is with profound sadness and deep love that we announce the passing of Helen Sue Welch, age 84 of Washburn, TN. She departed this life on Thursday, April 30, 2026. She was born on February 7, 1942. She was saved at a young age and of the Baptist faith. She cherished moments with family and loved the holidays. She was a beautiful soul, loved by all who met her.
Randy Wayne Ralston-age 65 of Luttrell passed away Tuesday, April 28, 2026. He had worked as a handy man and enjoyed fishing, hunting, and four wheeling. Preceded in death by his wife, Cathy L. Ralston; parents, George R. and Kay E. Ralston.
He is survived by his daughters, Nena Montanez, Morgan Ralston, Cassie Ralston, Randi Ralston, Chastity Ralston; 15 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; brothers, Kelly Ralston, Lynn Ralston, Dayle Ralston.

Frank William Thomas, Sr.-age 84 of Maynardville, born September 20, 1941, passed away Wednesday, April 29, 2026. He was a lifetime member of J.C. Baker Lodge, was of the Baptist faith and he was an Army Veteran. He is preceded in death by his son, Frank W. “Bill” Thomas, Jr.; parents, Rev. Charles and Marion Thomas; brothers, Charles V. Thomas Jr., Lowell Thomas; infant sister, Martha Jo Thomas.
Alfred Ray, age 69 of Sharps Chapel passed away peacefully Tuesday morning, April 28, 2026. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lowe and Lassie (Pratt) Ray; and his siblings, Martha Mae Ray, Max Ray, Ralph Ray, Anna Mae Ray, and Lorene Ray. He is survived by his siblings, Earl Ray, Glenn Ray, Lynn Ray, Irene Tolliver, and several special nieces and nephews.
Rev. Robert Stephen Monroe, Sr.-age 79 of Maynardville passed away Saturday morning, April 25, 2026, at his home. He was a member of Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church and a Past Master of J.C. Baker Lodge #720 F.&A.M. His kindness to everyone will be fondly remembered. He loved gardening and fishing, along with his cats. He also loved playing guitar and singing in church. Preceded in death by his parents, William Vaughn Monroe and Catherine Irene (Bowling) Monroe; brothers, Jack Monroe, Vaughn Monroe; stepson, Mitchell Buck; son-in-law, Raymond Atkins.
Theodore Godrey “T. G.” Brantley II of Corryton passed away one day short of his 78th birthday on Saturday, April 25, 2026 at Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center, surrounded by his family. T. G. was born April 26, 1948 in Knoxville, the son of Reverend Theodore “T. G.” and Virgie Gilbert Brantley. T. G. was a member of Warwick’s Chapel Baptist Church. He graduated from Horace Maynard High School in 1966. He worked at Robertshaw Controls for 30 years and was a past Master and member of Corryton Masonic Lodge 321. T. G.
John Bradley “JB” Beeler-age 80 of Washburn, born March 8, 1946, passed away peacefully Monday, April 27, 2026, at his home. He was saved and a member of Elm Springs Baptist Church. Preceded in death by his parents, Bradley and Edith (Helton) Beeler; sisters, Auga Floella Beeler, Mary Cindy Beeler and Vontella Beeler Acuff; brothers-in-law, Roy Acuff and Murlin “Pudge” Reed.
