Union County 4-H Members Place at Eastern Region FCS Skill-A-Thon
The 2026 Eastern Region 4-H FCS Skill-A-Thon Contest was held Friday, August 28, in McMinn County, Tennessee. Union County 4-H was well represented this year, with two members competing and showcasing their knowledge and skills in Family and Consumer Sciences.
In the Junior Division, Coral Davis earned an impressive 2nd place finish as an individual. In the Junior High Division, Aspen Davis also represented Union County well, earning 4th place as an individual.
FCS Skill-A-Thon is a hands-on competition that challenges 4-H members to identify knowledge of real-life items and skills related to Family and Consumer Sciences. Areas may include food and cooking, sewing and clothing, and housing and interior design. Through practices and competition, youth have the opportunity to build practical life skills, gain confidence, and have fun while learning.
Union County 4-H congratulates Coral and Aspen on their accomplishments and appreciates their hard work and dedication throughout the competition season!
