Fresh Wagon Celebrates 5 Years of Serving Union County Community

The Fresh Wagon food distribution program is celebrating five years of serving Union County and surrounding areas. Since its beginning, Fresh Wagon has worked to increase access to fresh and nutritious food while bringing the community together through service and support.

The next Fresh Wagon distribution will be held on Tuesday, June 16th at 1:00 p.m. at FirstBank, located at 2905 Maynardville Hwy, Maynardville, TN 37807. Food will be distributed on a first come, first serve basis while supplies last.

Fresh Wagon provides free fresh fruits, vegetables, and other food items to community members. The program helps families stretch their grocery budgets while encouraging healthy eating and reducing food insecurity. Distributions are open to anyone in need.

Over the past five years, Fresh Wagon has impacted countless families thanks to the support of volunteers, local farmers, businesses, and community partners. Community members are encouraged to celebrate this milestone by attending the June distribution and helping spread the word about the program.

Fresh Wagon also welcomes volunteers who would like to help unload, organize, and distribute food during events. Local gardeners and farmers who have extra produce are encouraged to support the program by donating produce or selling locally grown fruits and vegetables to Fresh Wagon for future distributions.
