December Food Drive Aims to Support Local Families

The Union County Fresh Wagon program is kicking off its December Food Drive, calling on community members to help support local families during the holiday season. Donations will be accepted through December 12th.

This month’s collection focuses on three staple items that will be included in the upcoming Christmas Fresh Wagon distribution: Stuffing mixes, Instant mashed potatoes, and 16-ounce peanut butter (creamy or crunchy).

Residents may drop off donations at any of the following convenient locations: UT Extension – Union County, Union County Health Department, FirstBank (Maynardville), and St. Teresa’s of Kolkata Catholic Church.

Fresh Wagon provides free, fresh, and nutritious foods to Union County residents each month—no sign-up or paperwork required. Community donations and partnerships help ensure these distributions continue to support families throughout the year, especially during the holidays when needs are often greatest.
