Christmas Wreath Workshop Offered at Chuck Swan State Forest

The Union County Extension Office invites the community to kick off the holiday season with a festive, hands-on Christmas Wreath Making Workshop at Chuck Swan State Forest in Sharps Chapel.

The workshop will take place on Thursday, November 21 at 10 a.m. at 3500 Sharps Chapel Road, Sharps Chapel, TN 37866. The cost to attend is $20, and space is limited.

Participants will have the opportunity to create their own fresh pine wreath to take home while learning new skills and celebrating the season. Ag Agent Shannon DeWitt will teach about the different types of trees suitable for wreath making, how to safely gather cuttings from the woods, and how to turn wreath making into a small business opportunity. FCS Agent Abigail Thomas will guide participants step-by-step through the wreath-making process.

All materials will be provided, but attendees are encouraged to bring a pair of work gloves and, if available, their own cutters.
