Polly Ann (Mallicoat) Buckner-age 83 of Corryton, born September 15, 1938 gained her angel wings Sunday, April 17, 2022 at her home after a long battle with dementia. Polly was a member of New Friendship Baptist Church. Polly loved the Lord. She sang God’s praises most of her life with three lovely ladies: Opal, Cassie and Georgia. Polly always had a loving spirit and smile that could make anyone feel loved. Preceded in death by parents, Enos and Thelma (Goin) Mallicoat; husband, Maurice Buckner; son, Maurice Dale Buckner; sister, Dolly Jones.

Rev. Don L. Richardson

Rev. Don Lee Richardson-age 86 of Maynardville, born September 4, 1935 passed away Friday, April 15, 2022 at U. T. Medical Center. He was of the Baptist faith. Don was a member and former pastor of Little Valley Baptist Church, Maynardville for many years. Preceded in death by his loving wife, Alma Louella (Buckner) Richardson; parents, Susie (Sexton) and Luther Richardson; brothers, Bill, Smiley and his twin brother, Von Richardson. Mother and father-in-law, Freda Mae and Curtis Buckner; one sister-in-law and three brothers-in-law.

Otha Ernest “Binky” Russell-age 62 of Washburn passed away Saturday evening, April 9, 2022 at his home. Preceded in death by parents, Otha Murlin and Joyce Russell.

Katheryn Black-aged 94 of Maynardville passed away peacefully Thursday, April 7, 2022. Adored by everyone who knew her, the reach of her influence is immeasurable. She was a member of Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church and a retired employee of Levi Strauss & Co. She was preceded in death by parents, Thomas Raymon Sharp and Pearl Odell Sharp; sisters, Oneita Cooper, Canzada Corum, Ruby Cooper, Estell Rutherford and Violet Sharp; brothers, J. C., L. T. and Steve Sharp; nieces, Dossie Corum, June Alexander, Jewell Faust and Jaunita Helton; nephew, Billy Corum; son, David Lyons.

Nathan Ridenour

Nathan Wayne Ridenour – 48 of Heiskell, went to be with our Heavenly Father on April 7, 2022 in LaFollette from heart complications. Nathan was a beloved husband, father, son, brother, pops and friend. He was a third-generation mason and was loved by many and known for his skilled craftsmanship. Nathan was a family man who loved his wife, kids and family. He spent many years of his life watching his children play softball and baseball. Nathan was always expressing his passion for the sports his children played. He was an avid boat lover, drag racer and was a jack of all trades.

Caitlynn Allaye Carmichael

Caitlynn Carmichael-aka: Cutterz, age 25 of Knoxville went to be with her Heavenly Father Monday, April 4, 2022 due to medical complications. She was of the Baptist faith. Preceded in death by grandparents, Wayne Carmichael, Mary Carmichael; great-grandparents, Harold and Dean Satterfield; Helen Graham Drown; great-grandfather, Ulysses Graham; great-great-grandmother, Ermalee Satterfield; great-great-grandfather, Aubrey Satterfield.

Ruby Jean Keck

Ruby Jean (Lambdin) Keck - 91 of Scott County, VA passed into Heaven on Monday, April 4, 2022 following a brief illness. She was born and raised in Maynardville, TN before moving to Duffield, VA. She was a member of Thomas Village Baptist Church in Duffield, VA. Ruby was a retired teacher from Union County, TN school system in Maynardville, TN.

Tony Franklin Huckleby

Tony Franklin Huckleby-age 63 of Maynardville passed away Monday, April 4, 2022 at his home. He moved to Maynardville from Baltimore, Maryland in 1999. He was a member of New Start Baptist Church. Preceded in death by father, Clyde Huckleby; mother, Betty Dix; sister, Penny Manis; brother, Mickie Huckleby along with a host a host of other family members.

Phillip Matthew Lamb

Phillip Matthew Lamb-age 46 of Luttrell passed away Monday morning, April 4, 2022 peacefully at his home. He was of the Baptist faith. Preceded in death by grandparents, Evelyn and Joe Lamb, Bertha and Earl (Jawbone) Thomas. Several aunts and uncles.

Preceded in death by parents, Clyde and Allie (Tharp) Muncey; brothers, William (Bill) Muncey, Jack Muncey; sisters, Anna Lou McCoy, Rowena Cabbage.

Jack W. Myers

Jack W. Myers – age 95 of Maynardville, passed away on March 28, 2022 at home after a brief illness. He was a member of Community Baptist Church, a member of American Legion Post 212, VFW Post 8682 of Union County, and a World War II Veteran. Jack was a retiree of Painters and Allied Trades, being a white waller for over 35 years. He was an avid lover of the outdoors, spending much of his life fishing and hunting with his son and grandson in Oregon.

Stephanie Kiser

Stephanie Koehler Kiser-age 92 of Maynardville passed away peacefully surrounded by family, Monday, March 28, 2022. She was born in Lukau, Czech and was exiled to Germany in 1946. She moved to Maynardville November 13, 1965. She was a faithful member of Alder Springs Baptist Church for 37 years. She is preceded in death by her husband, Clayton Kiser; parents, Franz and Stefanie Koehler.

Jack E. Sexton

Jack Edward Sexton-age 82 of Maynardville passed away peacefully Thursday March 24, 2022 surrounded by his family. He was a member of Hubbs Grove Baptist Church and a member of J.C. Baker Lodge 720 F. & A.M. He was a retired employee of Dempster and self-employed by Sexton Used Cars. Preceded in death by his wife, Hilda Sexton; father, Claude Sexton; Mother, Lucille Sexton; sister, Marie Mynatt.

Franklin Albert Faulkner-age 70 of Luttrell passed away Tuesday, March 22, 2022 at North Knoxville Medical Center. Preceded in death by parents, Charles and Onie Faulkner; sisters, Betty Faulkner and Mary.

Vern Wallace Lowry

Vern Wallace Lowry – age 93 of Maynardville, passed away peacefully March 22, 2022. Vern grew up in Loyall, Kentucky where he loved his family, fishing and baseball. He served as a teletype operator during the Korean War and was stationed in Alaska, then worked for Commercial Credit for over 30 years, retiring in 1988. Vern was a longtime member of the American Legion and the Masons. He was a dedicated Christian and servant to his church at First Baptist Church in Loyall and then Crossroads Presbyterian Church.

Mary Cox

Mary Katherine (Rosenbalm) Cox passed away peacefully surrounded by family, Saturday, March 19, 2022, at the age of 84. She was born and was a lifetime resident of Maynardville and was a member of Cedar Grove Missionary Baptist Church.

I’ve been blessed with 7 children, Kendryx, Kaydon, Kayne, Ty, Skylar, Lavada and Caden. An Amazing Love, Amy Moore, my Fiancée. My Amazing Sistger, Tiffany Nicley; brother-in-law, J.J.; a special nephew, Jonathan and Little Brother, Jaxson.
I’m loved by many and many I love. Fishing with the kids was one of my favorite pass times.
I went home to be with my Lord and Savior Friday, March 18, 2022. Please remember me with love, smiles and laughter.
