A Cry for Taters

I feel so blessed to have been born and raised in the south. While there are many reasons for feeling this way, the one I am going to talk about is southern cooking, especially my family’s fried taters.

Chiropractic and Healthy Lifestyle Changes

Chiropractic care and a healthy lifestyle go hand-in-hand, with chiropractors often recommending lifestyle changes to enhance overall health and well-being. These changes, including nutrition, exercise, stress management, and posture, can positively impact spinal health, nervous system function, and general wellness.

Chiropractic care focuses on the spine and nervous system, while lifestyle choices can significantly influence their health and function.

News Bees

I’m sure you’ve been outside, and a yellow and black, bee-like critter flies up to your head and just hovers in mid air, staring at you. Growing up I was told they were “news bees” and they were trying to tell me something. Another name for news bees is hover fly, and as the name suggests these creatures have the ability to hover perfectly still like a hummingbird or helicopter.

Gods Will, Gods Way, and Gods Word

Life, at times, can be confusing. The twists, the turns, and the expectancies often leave us feeling lost and uncertain. One moment, we seem to be sailing smoothly, and the next, we’re tossed about in stormy seas that make it extremely difficult to navigate. When a direction requires a decision to be made, it can sometimes be hard to discern the best path forward. Even with the greatest of plans and intentions, the unpredictability of life can throw us off course, leaving us confused, frustrated, and searching for answers.

Scared Geek

In case you haven’t figured it out, I am, or rather, I was the scared geek. No surprise there huh? If I hadn’t been one, I don’t think it would have happened.
A good example of my geekiness is how I have always been fascinated with airplanes and helicopters. Each time I watch one take off or land, I get so excited. It’s like I’m a kid again. That goes for trains as well.

J. C., the Cop, and Me

For the last few years of his life, my brother J. C. and I took summer vacations alone. We split the cost of rental cars equally, and we alternated paying for lodging. We each paid for our own meals.
J. C. was the last surviving son from my father’s first marriage, and I was the only son of Dad’s second marriage. Though there were several years’ difference in our ages,
J. C. said I was a good traveling companion, in great part because, like I would have a Greyhound bus, I “left the driving to [him].”
