Chocolate Mousse
This is the easiest chocolate dessert to make. Takes no cooking.
Chocolate Mousse
4 ounces bittersweet chocolate, chopped
15 regular sized marshmallows
1 cup heavy cream, divided
(Be sure chocolate is 70% or higher cacao). In large bowl, combine chocolate, marshmallows and 1/4 cup heavy cream. Microwave on high for 2 minutes. Stir until marshmallows are melted and mixture is smooth. If not melted after 2 minutes, microwave on 15 second intervals, stirring in between.) Let cool to room temperature, about 15 minutes. Once mixture is cooled, whip remaining cream in another bowl until soft peaks form. Transfer 1/4 cup to small bowl for topping. Refrigerate. Stir half of remaining whipped cream into cooled chocolate mixture until fully incorporated. Then gently fold in remainder. Spoon into serving bowls. Refrigerate until set, at least 2 hours or up to overnight. Serve topped with reserved whipped cream, if desired. Makes 8 servings.
