Health Department Director Garnet Southerland introduced the Healthy Living Poster contest winner to Union County Commission. Isabella displayed her poster which admonished, "Don't get hooked on smoking". She is a student in the 5th grade at Big Ridge Elementary.

The 2025 Union County 4-H Poster Contest brought together the creativity and talents of local youth with an impressive 70 posters submitted by students across the county. This annual event serves as a platform for youth to showcase their artistic abilities.

Annually, the Union County Soil Conservation District sponsors a poster contest at Paulette Elementary School. This title, “Watersheds: Our Water, Our Home”, was the theme for the 2018 contest.
