Peggy Sue (Bailey) Dennison-age 60 of Maynardville passed away Friday morning, February 8, 2019 at her home following a long illness. She was a member of The Church of God at Maynardville.

Survivors: husband, Bobby Ray Dennison; daughters, Mitzi Petty and husband, Chesney;
Trish Houston and Dora Davis; step-children, Jacob Shultz, Jessica Shultz, Jonathon Dennison and Beth De Leon Several grandchildren along with one great-grandchild. Sisters, Vickie Coram and Debbie Bailey. Several nieces, nephews and a host of friends.

Sarah Hodge Williams

Sarah Hodge Williams "Mamaw Whistle" age 86, passed away Wednesday, February 6, 2019 after a very brief illness. She worked for Allergy & Asthma Sinus Center (North Office) for almost 70 years. Preceded in death by husband Jack C. Williams, parents Bernie and Carrie Hodge, and brother Robert Hodge. Survived by daughter Carol Shultz (Gary), grandchildren Cassidy, Tommy, and Jeffy, great-grandchildren Jaycee, Lynsey, Emily, J.D., special niece Donna Gibson, and her little dog Jack Zipper.

D.C. Thomas

D.C. Thomas, age 86, passed away February 4, 2019. He has faithfully served as a deacon of Clear Springs Baptist Church. He also served as past Sunday School Director and rang the church bell at our Thompson School Road Campus for many years. D.C. will forever be known for his enthusiastic closing motion of our church business meeting, “Brother Moderator, I make a motion we adjourn this present session!”. He never met a stranger and never hesitated to share the love of Jesus with others. D.C. retired from Robertshaw Controls with 43 years of service and was a 50-year Mason.

Charles W. Jordon-age 64 of Maynardville was born September 4, 1954 and passed away Sunday, February 3, 2019 at North Knoxville Medical Center. Preceded in death by son, Jimmy Jordon, parents, Charles and Juanita Jordon, brother, Stanley Jordon, sister, Janice Dwyer.

Charles is survived by several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Reverend L.B. Herrell Obituary

Reverend L.B. Herrell passed away on February 1, 2019 at 10:30am. Though always quick with a story or a laugh, and passionate about raccoon hunting, he realized that these were, in the end, mere vanities. His family and church thank God almighty that there is no sadness in the departure of L.B., for he was saved as a young child by the grace of Jesus Christ. Called to preach, and to pastor several churches, L.B. tried to decrease that he may, through the preached word given to him by the Holy Ghost, preach the gospel of Jesus Christ. Nathan "Nate" Buckner

Nathan “Nate” Dallen Buckner – was born into this world March 1, 1989 at 3:41 a.m. He was saved April 5, 1998 on the bank at Nance Ferry and baptized by his dad. With the hope he received that day, he used it on January 25, 2019 when he took his last breath at 4:00 p.m. at U T Medical Center after he was so selfishly stripped from this life. He had a heart of gold and was a loving son, brother, uncle, grandson and friend. If he loved you he’d go above and beyond to help you in anyway. From the day he was born he was ready to take on the world.

Shannon Rene Eichelberger, age 50, passed away on Friday, January 25, 2019. She was a member of NA (Narcotics Anonymous) for 25 years. She was a loving woman with a big heart. She is preceded in death by her husband of 17 years, Chuck Peterson. Brian Russell Cody, age 32, passed away Sunday January 27, 2019. He was a fun-spirited, loving and kind man who never met a stranger. He is preceded in death by his mother Pam, whom he loved dearly. He was survived by his only daughter Lainee Jane Cody, who was the love of his life and entire world; his father Dewey “Bubba” Cody Jr. (Tracey- “Mom”), brothers Dustin (India) and Corey; sister Faith, stepsisters McKinna and Megan Williams, and devoted family loved ones Josh and Valerie Rader.

Carolyn Stefanski

Carolyn Stefanski – age 84 of Maynardville, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, January 22, 2019. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Carolyn loved her and she was loved by her grandchildren who always came first. Grandpa and Granma spent a good fifteen years on the road in their motor home.
