Velma Tarr Nicley Clark

Velma Tarr Nicley Clark-age 89 of Maynardville passed away Thursday morning, November 14, 2019 at her home. She was a member of Mt. Eager Baptist Church. Preceded in death by parents, William Henry and Ava Francie Schlining; husband, Luther Paul Nicley.

Survivors: son and daughter-in-law, Junior and Mary Tarr of Maynardville; special friend, James Nicley of Maynardville.

Teddy M. Todd, Sr.

Ted Todd, Sr.-age 79 of Maynardville passed away peacefully at his home while surrounded by family and loved ones Sunday, November 10, 2019. He was born May 30, 1940 to the late Marshall Todd and Geneva Todd Swindle. He was a member of Grace Full Gospel Baptist Church, Corryton where he served as a Deacon. Ted was also a member of Waverly Lodge No. 615, Martinsville, Indiana where he joined in 1962 and always remained a member in good standing with Indiana Freemasonry.

Randy Leo Relford

Randy Leo Relford-age 61 of Sharps Chapel passed away Saturday, November 9, 2019 at Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center. He was born February 3, 1958, one of fifteen children of the late Clifton and Ima (Wright) Relford. He was also preceded in death by half-brother, Clarence Evans; brothers, Bill Wright, Terry, Gary and Darrell Relford; sisters, Phyllis Thompson, Mary Ann and Darlene Relford.

Margaret "Maggie" Vera Parker

Margaret “Maggie” Vera Parker, age 12 weeks, passed away on Wednesday, November 6, 2019. She was the 1,274th ECMO (Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation) patient and she fought for weeks to stay on earth with her family while waiting for a heart transplant. She will be deeply missed by her family who treasures what time they had with Maggie. Preceded in death by grandfather Dan Parker.

Arlie Wayne Davis

Arlie Wayne Davis – age 71 of Luttrell, passed away at his home November 8, 2019 and is now in the care of his Heavenly Father. He was a devoted father and grandfather. He will be deeply missed by his children and grandchildren and all who knew and loved him.

Jerry Lynn Simmons Sr.

Jerry Lynn Simmons Sr., age 83, was called home by his Lord and Savior on November 5, 2019. He worked over 40 years in construction and land surveying. He was a man of integrity and deeply loved his wife of 61 years. They were inseparable and an inspiration to all who knew them. He traveled all over the country and shared life’s adventures on the farm and lake house. Jerry was a wonderful man with a sweet spirit, and he was an amazing daddy, pops, and papaw.

Roy Vaughn Graves, Jr.

Roy Vaughn Graves, Jr. – 68 of Maynardville, went to his eternal home, November 4, 2019, surrounded by family and friends. He was a member of Hansard Chapel Methodist Church. His new life has begun, a life that will never know sickness, disease, sorrow or loss again. He is finally healed and made whole. Vaughn was so grateful for all his family and friends that were so supportive of him through the good and the hard times. He was owner and manager of Union Parts and Equipment in Maynardville for over 30 years, but his true legacy is his family, who he loved deeply.

Susie L. Haynes

Susie L. Haynes- age 84 of Luttrell gained her wings Monday morning, November 4, 2019 at her home. She was a devoted Christian. Preceded in death by husband, Bobby R. Haynes.
She leaves behind daughter and son-in-law, Cathy and James Hensley of Maynardville; grandsons, Stephen Hensley of Luttrell; Dustin Hensley of Maynardville; three great-grandchildren, six great-great grandchildren. Brother, Clyde and June Mallicoat; special friends, Stephanie and Polly. Several nieces, nephews and a host of friends.

Wanda Browning Lett

Wanda Browning Lett, age 87, passed away Sunday November 3, 2019. She was a member of Sharon Baptist Church. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister. Preceded in death by husband of 42 years James Edsel Lett, parents Vaughn and Gladys Browning, sisters Helen Wright Reasor and Jewell Flenniken. Survivors include sons Greg Lett and Jeff (Robin) Lett, daughter Jennifer Lett, brothers Ronald V.

Julie Lynn (Taylor) Gibson-age 51 of Maynardville passed away Friday, November 1, 2019 at the home. Preceded in death by mother, Edna Taylor; sisters, Tammy Kay Wallace, Charlene Redmond, Dessie Wolfenbarger.

Survivors: Son, Timothy Loveday of Luttrell; special friend, Greg Nicely; father, Charles Taylor of Washburn; sisters, Mary Ann Wynn and husband, Bruce of Maynardville; Bonnie Sue Bates of Luttrell. Several nieces and nephews.

Timmothy J. Bailey-age 46 of Luttrell, born October 18, 1973 passed away Friday, November 1, 2019 at Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center. Preceded in death by mother, Laura Alice (Collins) Bailey; grandparents, Carl Bailey, Barbara J. Nicley, Ross Collins, Mossie Collins.

Wm. “Daddy” Darrell Lynch – age 57 of Luttrell, passed away at home on October 31, 2019.

He was preceded in death by parents, Randy and Dian Lynch; nephew, Joshua Reed; sister, Nina Bell; and uncle, Chucky Brown. Darrell is survived by daughter, Casey Lynch; son, Joey Lynch; grandchildren, Nathaniel Jenkins and Alyssia Lynch; sisters, Kim, Debbie and Tammie; nieces and nephews, April, Cody, Randy, Ronnie, Rebecca, Mary and Mason; special friends, Angie Deck, Dianne Lynch, Worm and Lori Pollard and Eddie Ellis; and best friend, Little Britches.

Velma Doris Helton

Velma Doris Kitts Helton-age 99 of Maynardville, born June 7, 1920 passed away Thursday, October 31, 2019. Velma was consecrated a Jehovah’s Witness in 1948 and a formal member of The Kingdom Hall. Preceded in death by parents, three brothers, two sisters and husband, Esco Gilbert Helton; daughter-in-law, Juanita Sharp Helton and nephew, Terry L. Kitts.

Miss Emma Jean Stooksbury-age 82 of Sharps Chapel passed away Thursday, October 31, 2019 at her residence. She was a member of Irwin Chapel United Methodist Church. Preceded in death by parents, Platt and Willie Stooksbury; two brothers, Loren and Cuble Stooksbury; three sisters, Dorothy Stooksbury, Joan Rouse and Corrine George.

Carol Darleen Hamley

Carol Darleen Hamley born February 8, 1942, age 77, of Knoxville, Tennessee died October 24, 2019.
Carol was preceded in death by her father Jack Allen Hamley, Sr., her mother Hallie Ima Monroe Hamley, her brother Jack Allen Hamley, Jr., and her sister Judy Kaye Hamley Malach.
Along with many extended family members and friends, Carol leaves behind her sister Teresa Allen; children Jim Mash, Jeff Mash and Jennifer Valentine; grandchildren Christopher Mash, Alexandria Ball, Katelyn Mash, Cameron Mash and Sophie Loughran, as well as great-grandson Alfred Ball.

Billy Chilcoat

Bill Chilcoat, age 87, went to Heaven on Wednesday, October 23, 2019. Bill was born in Steele, Alabama and moved to Oak Ridge when he was 11. He graduated from Oak Ridge High School in 1950. He served in the United States Air Force from 1952-1956. He married Jimmie Sue Calhoun in 1954. Bill worked for Oak Ridge National Lab (X-10) for 38 years. He is presently a member of First Baptist Powell and was formerly a member of Grace Baptist Church where he taught Sunday School for many years. Following his retirement, he worked with Baptist Disaster Relief and Cross Ministries.
