Esther Mae McMahan, age 89, of Knoxville Tennessee went home to be with the Lord on Monday November 6, 2017. Esther was a faithful member of Outreach Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by husband G.W. McMahan Sr. and daughter Charlotte Emerson.

Anthony Dwayne Lamb – age 38 of Luttrell, was born March 21, 1979 and passed away October 27, 2017.

Anthony is preceded in death by step father and mother, Linda Holloway. He is survived by his father, Dwayne Lamb; children, Hunter Williams, Kayla Blair, Ashley Lamb and Easton Wilson; brother, Scott Lamb; and significant other, Samantha Cust and children, Shelby Conger and Amber Cust. “We will miss you.”

Glenn Allen Miller- age 81 of Luttrell passed away Monday, October 30, 2017 at Physicians Regional Medical Center. Preceded in death by wife, Hazel Damewood Miller; daughters, Kathy Parker, Penny Letner; parents, Eli and Lily Lay Miller; brothers, Wayne, David, Roy Miller; sister, Jewel Thompson.

Survivors: son, Mike (Kathy) Miller of Luttrell; brothers, Roger, Johnny and Troy Miller, all of Knoxville. Nine grandchildren, three great-grandchildren. Special friends, Harold Miller and Buddy (Sandy) Easterday. A host of nieces and nephews.

Hobart Paul Bailey – age 69 of Knoxville, went to be with the Lord on October 29, 2017 at Willow Ridge Center. He was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church.

Hobart is preceded in death by his parents, Plez Abe and Juanita Bailey; sister, Darlene Bailey; brothers, Glen and Larry Bailey. He is survived by daughter, Janice Wilkerson; son, Billy (Karen) Bailey; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; sisters, Judy Key and Peggy Davidson; brothers, Mitchy, David and Ricky Bailey; and several nieces and nephews.

Theressa Lynnette Knight Capshaw – age 49 of Heiskell, went home to be with the Lord when God called his angel home on October 28, 2017.

Theressa is preceded in death by her parents, Jerry and Donna Cox; and brother, Tracey Lee Cox. She is survived by her husband, Marty Capshaw; sons, Ray and James (fiancée, LeAnn Massengill) Knight; granddaughter, Skylar Knight; and former husband and great friend, James (fiancée, Melissa Garcia) Knight, Jr.

Janet Ann Eggleston-age 57 of Maynardville passed away suddenly Wednesday morning, October 25, 2017 at her home. Preceded in death by father, Marquis de Lafayette Eggleston, Jr.; sister, Suzanne Elizabeth Eggleston.

Robert Manson “Sonny” Reeser, III- age 65 of Maynardville, went home to be with his Heavenly Father on Friday, October 20, 2017. Robert was the proud owner and operator of Sonny’s Auto Sales for 40 years. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother and son.

Edith Elmo (Ritter) Lakins – age 94, was born on Ritter Ridge in Washburn, on June 30, 1923. She left this world to be with her Heavenly Father on Saturday, October 21, 2017.

Helen Gentry Lucas, age 98, went home to be with the Lord on October 20, 2017. She attended the Community Missionary Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 56 years, Kyle Lucas; 2 infant children; 4 sisters; and 5 brothers. Survived by son James (Freda) Lucas; daughter Janice (Jimmy) Edington; grandchildren Tony (Pam) Lucas, Tammy (Dale) Tuder and Julie Reasonover; great grandchildren Spencer (fiancé Madison) and Trent Lucas, Preston Reasonover, Madison Kay and Katie Grace Tuder; step-granddaughters Karen and Jeanna; extended family, several nieces and nephews.

Darrell J. Norris-age 80 of Elkhart, Indiana, formerly of Maynardville passed away Thursday morning, October 19, 2017 at Goshen Hospital, Goshen, Indiana surrounded by the family. Darrell was of the Baptist faith and was a wonderful son, husband, father and grandfather. He was member of J. C. Baker Lodge #720 F. & A.M. for many years. Preceded in death by mother, Pearl Norris Patterson; wife, Vola Whited Norris; son, Darrell E. Norris.

Teresa Elaine (Wallace) Cooper – age 53 of Maynardville, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, October 17, 2017. She was a member of New Friendship Baptist Church.

Teresa is preceded in death by her daughter, Amanda Cooper; son, Wayne Wallace; grandchild, Skyler Cooper; and parents, Gerald and Ruth Wallace. She is survived by her husband, Darrell Cooper; daughter, Crystal Smith; several grandchildren; sisters, Judy Overholt, Linda Runyon and Katrina Sharp; brothers, Jerry, Olen, and Ray Wallace; and several nieces and nephews.

Charles Lonnie Bailey-age 67 of Washburn passed away suddenly Wednesday, October 18, 2017 at his home. He was a member of Powder Springs Baptist Church and a retired employee of Star Construction with 49 years of service. Preceded in death by father, Vick Bailey.

Survivors: wife of 47 years, Judy (Munsey) Bailey; mother, Fousteen Bailey; daughter, Melissa (Eric) Logsdon; son, Steve (Misty) Bailey; grandchildren, Preston Logsdon, Lance, Mackenzie and Addisyn Bailey; brothers, John (Sheila) Bailey and Rick Bailey, all of Washburn. Several nieces and nephews.

Ella Pauline Garrison age 95, 13 days from being 96 of Maynardville, was born in Union County on October 23, 1921 and passed away Thursday morning, October 12, 2017 at Willow Ridge Center in Maynardville.
She was preceded in death by her husbands Homer Wagner and Lynn Garrison, son Joe Wagner, daughter Lavaughn Crider and by her parents Hugh L. Norris and Rhoda Berry.
She is survived by her son Lynn Wagner (Phyllis), daughter Elaine Daniel (Buddy), she is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.

Christina Denise Lee age 40 of Rutledge was born April 16, 1977 and passed away October 13, 2017.

Mr. Earl Roger Williams age 60 of Knoxville, Tennessee was born December 26, 1956 and passed away Saturday, October 14, 2017 at Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center in Knoxville.

Lillie Pratt age 88 of Maynardville was born April 25, 1929 and passed away October 14, 2017. She was preceded in death by her parents Curtis and Relda Pratt, brothers Ernest Pratt and Eric Pratt.
She is survived by several cousins and many other friends.

James “Shane” Digby – age 42 of Maryville, passed away on October 10, 2017. He was of the Baptist faith.

Shane is survived by his wife, Mary Lynn Roberts; daughters, Shannon Digby, Sabrina Digby and Courtney Digby; son, Matthew Digby; mother Elizabeth (Willard) Nicley; father, James Digby; sister, Mary Evon Queen; and brother, David Ledford.

Nathan Allen Hyde-age 34 of Knoxville passed away Saturday, October 7, 2017 while visiting in the State of Florida. He was born October 5, 1983 in Knoxville, Tennessee. He was preceded in death by his mother, Karen Simpson Hyde; grandparents, James and Fae Dotson Simpson of Maynardville.

He is survived by daughter, Keegan Lee Hyde; father Lynn Edward Hyde; step-mother, Jocelyn Hyde; step-sister, Beckie Kitts and Brandi Kendall; loving grandparents, James and Thelma Lee Hyde, all of Knoxville.

Virgie “Opal” Corum – age 91 of Maynardville, went home to be with her Heavenly Father on Monday, October 9, 2017. Opal was a member of Miller’s Chapel United Methodist Church where she was very active in the children’s Sunday School classes along with many other church activities. She is a retired employee of Standard Knitting Mills and worked with the Union County Senior Citizen Center.

Donald “Rich” Ellison, aged 69, passed away October 9, 2017. Rich had a passion for old cars and the music of George Strait. Preceded in death by parents Donald and Wanetta Ellison and brothers Jeff Ellison and Dr. Dave Ellison. Left to cherish his memory are loving wife Arlene Ellison; children Chuck (Tonja) Ellison and Joy (Brent) Waldrop; 12 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; sister Erma King; and sister-in-law Sandi Ellison.
