Mary Lynn Tudor Martin Champion, age 81 of Clinton, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, Feb. 2, 2018.
Mary Lynn was a very active member of Second Baptist Church in Clinton and especially loved her Sunday school class the Agape class. She was also active in the Joy Group. She loved going out to eat and spending time with her friends and family. She leaves behind many close friends in the church. She is preceded in death by parents Lex and Martha Tudor; spouses Truman Martin and Jack Champion; brothers Herbert Tudor, Johnnie Tudor, JC Tudor, Jerry Tudor, and infant Fred Tudor; sisters Helen Warwick, Trula Ogle, and Sarah Lee Tudor.
Infant Dixie Lynn Shope-infant daughter of Michael Brandon Shope and Ashley Nicole Williams was still born Friday, February 2, 2018 at Ft. Sanders Regional Medical Center. She is now our Angel in the arms of Jesus. The family will have a graveside service and burial 2 P.M. Sunday, February 4, 2018 at the Williams Cemetery, Hickory Valley Road in Union County. Arrangements by Cooke-Campbell Mortuary, Maynardville.
Clyde Nicely, Jr, age 81 of Maynardville went home to be with the Lord Saturday, February 3, 2018 at Willow Ridge after a battle with Parkinson’s Disease. He was retired for 12 years to enjoy being with his granddaughters. He loved the Lord and his family more than life. He was a member of Pennington Chapel Baptist Church. Preceded in death by: Wife, Rowena Mayes Nicely; Parents, Clyde & Kate Nicely; Sister, Helen Huskey and Gaynell Nicely.
Tki Linanne Davidson-age 55 of Maynardville passed away Wednesday, January 31, 2018 at North Knoxville Medical Center. In accordance with her wishes, she will be cremated and no services are planned at this time. Arrangements by Cooke-Campbell Mortuary, Maynardville.
Ralph Nicley-age 85 of Washburn passed away Wednesday, January 31, 2018 at his home. He was a member of Mt. Eager Baptist Church. Preceded in death by parents, Hugh and Florence (Kitts) Nicley.
Survivors: brother, Sammie Nicley of the home; sister, Rosalene Nicley of Rutledge; niece, Amanda Crawford and husband, Bobby of the home; special great-nieces, Selena Nicley and Haley Crawford; special great-nephew, Zachary Nicley. Several other nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews along with a host of friends.
Betty Jo Dykes-age 53 of Sharps Chapel passed away Monday, January 29, 2018 at Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center. Preceded in death by mother, Juanita Collins; father, Ray Roberts.
She is survived by loving husband of 33 years, Ronnie Dykes; son, Jason Collins; daughters, Kasey Dykes and Kristy Dykes; grandsons, Austin Lay and Derek Walter; granddaughters, Shawna Lay and Sydney Lay. She is also survived by brothers Lester, David, Terry, and Billy Wayne, and sister Donna along with a host of loving friends. Earths loss is Heavens gain.
Nancy Geneva Wyrick-age 56 of Luttrell passed away Monday, January 29, 2018 at North Knoxville Medical Center. Preceded in death by brother, Tommy Wyrick.
Survivors: parents, H. M. and Leona Wyrick; brother, Calvin Wyrick and wife, Mary Jane; sister, Dacie Seymour; nephew, Tommy Wyrick, Jr.; several aunts, uncles and cousins.
James H. West Jr. (Big Jim, Tiny), age 47, passed away January 28th, 2018. He was an employee of Big Orange Taxi. Preceded in death by grandparents; Martha Ann and Hubert McLain and Clay and Edna West, and by parents: James and Betty West.
Jason H. Crabtree, age 43, of Knoxville, TN, born October 10, 1974, passed away January 29, 2018 at Vanderbilt Medical Center. He was preceded in death by parents, Herbert Crabtree, of Huntsville, TN, and Helen Ervin, of Knoxville, TN; sister, Mary Helen Lewis, of Knoxville, TN; brother, Robert Crabtree, of Knoxville, TN; and nephew, Eric Heath, of Knoxville, TN.
Imogene V. Llewellyn “Jean”, 91, of Knoxville, TN, passed away peacefully in her home on January 28th, 2018. Jean was of the Baptist faith and a longtime member of Salem Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by and reunited with her loving husband of 56 years, Howard Llewellyn, her son James Llewellyn, and her mother and father Henry and Allie Mink.
Billie Sue Madison, born April 12, 1937 in Cherokee County Georgia, passed away January 27, 2018. She was a long-time resident of Fountain City. She retired from Robert Shaw after many years of service. Preceded in death by parents Harry O. Madison and Era Howard; sisters Sandra and Cheryl Madison.
Grady W. Madgett Sr. age 91 of Knoxville, passed away January 27, 2018. He was a member of Roseberry Baptist Church. He was a U.S. Navy veteran who worked on the USS Chicago and the USS Vicksburg. He also enjoyed woodworking, fishing, and hunting. Preceded in death by Theodore and Una Madgett; son Franklin Madgett; brother Paul Madgett; sisters-in-law Edith and Betty Madgett; brother-in-law Glenn Ely. Survived by loving wife of 64 years Wilma Madgett; son Grady “G.W.” Madgett Jr.
Iva M. (Brown) Reynolds, age 91 of Powell, passed away January 27, 2018. She was a member of Cedar Grove Baptist Church. She worked for Standard Knitting Mill for several years before becoming a loving mother and homemaker. She had an engaging sense of humor and a loving spirit that so many people enjoyed. Iva loved to fish and spend time with her family and friends. Preceded in death by husband of over 50 years Matthew Reynolds; parents Emma and Roy Brown; brother Roy Brown; brothers-in-law Melvin Noe and Wayne Welch.
Tammy Clowers, age 40 of Knoxville, went to be with the Lord January 26, 2018. Tammy was a loving mother and daughter. She enjoyed reading and often read Amish books. She is survived by children Brittany Clowers and Jay Clowers; parents Ralph and Shirley Clowers and several other loved ones. Family will receive friends 5:00-7:00p.m. Monday at Mynatt Funeral Home Fountain City Chapel with service to follow, Rev. Bobby Hankins and Rev. Clyde Haynes officiating. Family and friends will meet 10:45a.m. Tuesday at Bells Campground Cemetery for an 11:00a.m. interment.
Agnes Flatford Healey-age 73 of Maynardville went home to be with her Mom Tuesday, January 23, 2018 at Physicians Regional Medical Center. She was a member of Bryams Fork Baptist Church. Preceded in death by mother, Edna Marie Flatford; brothers, Glen, Donnie, Kenny, Jay and Elonzo Flatford; son, Prestis; daughter, Brenda.
Survivors: sisters, Barbara, Sharon, Bronis, Vicky and Faye; brother, Elwood; children, Marie, Danny, Marty and Chris; special nephew, Johnny.
Debra Kay Lee – age 61 of Maynardville, went home to be with the Lord, January 24, 2018 at North Knoxville Medical Center. She was a member of Milan Baptist Church.
Debra is preceded in death by parents, Chalmer and Maxine Miller; and husband, Jeffrey Lee. She is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Christa and Roger Hall; two grandchildren, Bentley and Kinnley Hall; sister, Doris Miller; special aunt, Lula Ellison; and a host of uncles, aunts, nieces and nephews.
Timmy Randall Bailey-age 48 of Maynardville, born January 13, 1970 passed away suddenly Wednesday morning, January 24, 2018 at his home. Tim was a member of Nave Hill Baptist Church, member of the Union County Rescue Squad and a retired employee of Tennessee Department of Transportation, Knoxville Office. Preceded in death by father, Buddy Boy Bailey; brother, Ronald Bailey, father-in-law, William Houston Weaver.
Larry Neal Chadwick, age 65 of Knoxville, passed away January 13, 2018. He retired from Porcelain Products. He was a great father and grandfather. Preceded in death by his mother Reba Holt.
Vonnie Lorene Stanifer, born February 28, 1925, passed away January 22, 2018. Vonnie was a loving wife and mother and a doting grandmother. She loved the Lord and had conversations with Jesus for two days before she peacefully passed at Centennial Hospital in Nashville, TN. She was one of the oldest active members of Texas Valley Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Stanifer; and parents, Reed & Mamie Welch.
