Joyce Arrowood Walker, age 83, of Knoxville, passed away February 11, 2018. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Powell and also faithfully attended Black Oak Heights Baptist Church for many years. Joyce loved her family and was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was preceded in death by husband, Claude E. Walker; parents, Ashley & Rosa Arrowood; sisters, Opal Morgan, Juanita Skellington, Virginia Arrowood, and Dorothy Sizemore; and brothers, Bill Arrowood, Mickey Arrowood, and Ashley Arrowood Jr.

Joyce “Jo” Naomi Joiner, age 89, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, on February 10, 2018 after a long battle with dementia. She was a long time member of Concord Baptist Church. Throughout her lifetime, she showed real love by her many acts of kindness to family. friends and animals. Her husband of 72 years and our father, Donald Joiner, mirrored that love by the way he cared for her in their home 24/7 without a single lament throughout the entire battle. She is preceded in death by her daughter, Donna Joiner Stoyas. Survived by: husband Donald E.

Donnie Allen Edmonds, age 61, of Knoxville, TN, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, February 9th, 2018. He was preceded in death by parents Earl and Evelyn Edmonds, siblings Mary Collins and Darrell Edmonds, brother-in-law Donnie “Skip” Dishner, and nephew Kevin Laughtery.

Jackie J. Hayes-age 46 of Maynardville went home to be with the Lord Sunday morning, February 11, 2018 at North Knoxville Medical Center. He was of the Baptist faith. Preceded in death by father, Jackie Virgil Hayes.

Survivors: son, Dustin Hayes and fiancée, Laura of Knoxville; daughter, Annalinne Rachel Hayes of Maynardville; mother, Anna Hayes, Maynardville; brother, Joseph Hayes; nephews and niece, Tanner, Ethan and Gracie.

Rickey DeWayne Cameron-age 55 of Corryton passed to his Heavenly home Saturday morning, February 10, 2018. He was a member of The Church of God of Maynardville. Preceded in death by his sister, Robin Amanda Moore; grandparents, Trula and Swan Chamberlain, Eva and Perry Cameron.

Micah Slade Evans, age 25, of Knoxville, passed away suddenly February 8, 2018 due to an automobile accident. He is a member of the Baptist faith. He was an employee of Bailey Manufacturing. Micah was preceded in death by grandmother Vickie Evans and “Pops” Rich Ellison. He is survived by: loving mother Tonja Ellison (step-father, Chuck); brother Ty; sister Harlee; step-sister Kaitlyn; grandparents Larry and Brenda Russell, and Roger Bishop and Arlene Ellison; several nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles. Micah was an avid sports fan -The Ultimate-; he believed in the Tar Heels and Titans.

SUSIE DUNSMORE COX, 72, went home to her Heavenly Father Wednesday, February 7, 2018. Preceded in death by her father & mother, Rev. Lonnie & Hattie Dunsmore, step-mother, Bobbie Dunsmore; husband, Charlie Cox, daughter, Angela Pressnell; brothers, Glen, Mike & Greg Dunsmore, sister, Helen Cupp. Survived by daughter, Trish Price, brothers, Loy, Vern, Bob, James, Ray Dunsmore, sisters Velma Killion, Teresa Garland, Karen Beal, Brenda Taylor, stepson Ernie Cox. Susie was retired from the U.S.

Ansleigh Ruth Shackelford – infant daughter of Paige Austin and Robby Shackelford, gained her angel wings on February 1, 2018.

Ansleigh is survived by her parents; sister, Adaleigh Rose Shackelford; grandparents, Tina Austin and husband, Kelvin Paul and William Shackelford, Sr. and wife, Donna; several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Robert C. “Buddy” Brown – age 68 of Maynardville, passed away Sunday, February 4, 2018. He was of the Baptist faith.

Mary Lynn Tudor Martin Champion, age 81 of Clinton, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, Feb. 2, 2018.
Mary Lynn was a very active member of Second Baptist Church in Clinton and especially loved her Sunday school class the Agape class. She was also active in the Joy Group. She loved going out to eat and spending time with her friends and family. She leaves behind many close friends in the church. She is preceded in death by parents Lex and Martha Tudor; spouses Truman Martin and Jack Champion; brothers Herbert Tudor, Johnnie Tudor, JC Tudor, Jerry Tudor, and infant Fred Tudor; sisters Helen Warwick, Trula Ogle, and Sarah Lee Tudor.

Infant Dixie Lynn Shope-infant daughter of Michael Brandon Shope and Ashley Nicole Williams was still born Friday, February 2, 2018 at Ft. Sanders Regional Medical Center. She is now our Angel in the arms of Jesus. The family will have a graveside service and burial 2 P.M. Sunday, February 4, 2018 at the Williams Cemetery, Hickory Valley Road in Union County. Clyde Nicely, Jr, age 81 of Maynardville went home to be with the Lord Saturday, February 3, 2018 at Willow Ridge after a battle with Parkinson’s Disease. He was retired for 12 years to enjoy being with his granddaughters. He loved the Lord and his family more than life. He was a member of Pennington Chapel Baptist Church. Preceded in death by: Wife, Rowena Mayes Nicely; Parents, Clyde & Kate Nicely; Sister, Helen Huskey and Gaynell Nicely.

Tki Linanne Davidson-age 55 of Maynardville passed away Wednesday, January 31, 2018 at North Knoxville Medical Center. In accordance with her wishes, she will be cremated and no services are planned at this time. Arrangements by Cooke-Campbell Mortuary, Maynardville.

Ralph Nicley-age 85 of Washburn passed away Wednesday, January 31, 2018 at his home. He was a member of Mt. Eager Baptist Church. Preceded in death by parents, Hugh and Florence (Kitts) Nicley.

Survivors: brother, Sammie Nicley of the home; sister, Rosalene Nicley of Rutledge; niece, Amanda Crawford and husband, Bobby of the home; special great-nieces, Selena Nicley and Haley Crawford; special great-nephew, Zachary Nicley. Several other nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews along with a host of friends.

Betty Jo Dykes-age 53 of Sharps Chapel passed away Monday, January 29, 2018 at Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center. Preceded in death by mother, Juanita Collins; father, Ray Roberts.
She is survived by loving husband of 33 years, Ronnie Dykes; son, Jason Collins; daughters, Kasey Dykes and Kristy Dykes; grandsons, Austin Lay and Derek Walter; granddaughters, Shawna Lay and Sydney Lay. She is also survived by brothers Lester, David, Terry, and Billy Wayne, and sister Donna along with a host of loving friends. Earths loss is Heavens gain.

Nancy Geneva Wyrick-age 56 of Luttrell passed away Monday, January 29, 2018 at North Knoxville Medical Center. Preceded in death by brother, Tommy Wyrick.

Jason H. Crabtree, age 43, of Knoxville, TN, born October 10, 1974, passed away January 29, 2018 at Vanderbilt Medical Center. He was preceded in death by parents, Herbert Crabtree, of Huntsville, TN, and Helen Ervin, of Knoxville, TN; sister, Mary Helen Lewis, of Knoxville, TN; brother, Robert Crabtree, of Knoxville, TN; and nephew, Eric Heath, of Knoxville, TN.

Imogene V. Llewellyn “Jean”, 91, of Knoxville, TN, passed away peacefully in her home on January 28th, 2018. Jean was of the Baptist faith and a longtime member of Salem Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by and reunited with her loving husband of 56 years, Howard Llewellyn, her son James Llewellyn, and her mother and father Henry and Allie Mink.

Billie Sue Madison, born April 12, 1937 in Cherokee County Georgia, passed away January 27, 2018. She was a long-time resident of Fountain City. She retired from Robert Shaw after many years of service. Preceded in death by parents Harry O. Madison and Era Howard; sisters Sandra and Cheryl Madison.
