Willie Faye Blankenship-age 98 of Washburn passed away peacefully Monday, March 23, 2026, at home surrounded by family. She was of the Baptist faith. She was a very special and loving wife, daughter, sister, aunt and friend. She was a retired and favorite teacher of the Washburn community through many generations and loved all of her students. Preceded in death by her parents, Jesse D. Coffman Sr. and Effie Coffman; loving husband of 60 years, Cecil Blankenship; sisters, Nell Brock, Ina Blankenship Elliott, Dora Gambrel, Eula Coffman; brothers, Ausburn Coffman, Maynard Coffman, Jesse D. Coffman, Jr. and several nieces and nephews.

She leaves behind special nephew, Bobby Joe Blankenship (Kathy); special nieces, Dolores Coffman, Fern Young; sister-in-law, Fern Coffman.

The family will receive friends 5 to 7 pm Thursday, March 26, 2026, with the funeral service to follow at 7 pm Thursday, Cooke-Campbell Mortuary Chapel, Rev. Doug McGinnis officiating, with music by Michelle Blankenship and Randy Dyer. Interment 11 am Friday, March 27, 2026, Blankenship Family Cemetery, Washburn. Family and friends will meet 10 am Friday at the funeral home to go with the procession. Pallbearers: Leslie Coffman, Robert Blankenship, Colton Nicley, Logan Bailey, Steve Blankenship, Gary Blankenship.
