Walter “Rhea” Hill-age 80 of Washburn, born April 21, 1946, went to be with the Lord Monday, September 21, 2026, at the home of his daughter, April. Rhea was a loving, hardworking, kind and gentle man. He was a member of Johnson’s Chapel Church. He was a graduate of East High School, Knoxville. Preceded in death by his wife, Martha Jo Hill; his parents, Herbert and Clara Hill; brothers, Herbert Earl Hill, Eddie Hill.

He is survived by his daughters, April Warren, fiancé JT Cooper of Washburn, Shannon (Keith) Taylor of Georgia; son, David (Becky) Hill of Washburn; 8 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends 5-7 PM Wednesday, September 23, 2026, with funeral service to follow at 7 PM, Cooke-Campbell Mortuary, Pastor Greg Hurst and Rev. Jason Dyer officiating with music by Jeremiah and Timothy Ray. Interment 12 PM Thursday, September 24, 2026, Liberty Hill Cemetery, Washburn. Family and friends will meet 11 AM at the funeral home to go with the procession. Pallbearers: Daniel Warren, Bradley Warren, Joshua Warren, Isaiah Cameron, David Hill, Brad Capps. Honorary pallbearers: Frankie Rucker, Bob Pendergrass, Chuck Huskey, Calvin “Tiny” Williams. Arrangements by Cooke-Campbell Mortuary, Maynardville.
