Ruth Atkins Skeen-age 97 of Luttrell passed away Saturday, July 11, 2026 at her home surrounded by her family. She was a charter member of New Friendship Baptist Church and was a retired employee of Palm Beach Company with 30 years of service. There to greet her at Heaven’s Gate: Husband, R.G. Skeen; parents, Arthur and Bessie (Chesney) Atkins; sisters, Grace Atkins, Katheryn Flynn; brother, Jack Atkins.

Survivors: sons and daughters-in-law, Harold and Patsy Skeen, Gary and Darlene Skeen, Randy and Kristie Skeen. Grandsons, Mark Skeen and Mike Harrell. Four great-grandchildren. Special sister, Doris Brantley. The family would like to express a special thanks to Beacon Hospice: Donna, Whitley and April along with a special caregiver, Carolyn Criswell.

The family will receive friends 10-11 a.m. Tuesday, July 14, 2026 with the funeral service to follow at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Cooke-Campbell Mortuary Chapel, Rev. Charlie Tindell, Rev. Nathan Varnier officiating with music by Rick Flynn. Interment will follow at Haun Cemetery, Luttrell. Pallbearers: Harold, Gary, Mark, Levi, Wyatt and Randy Skeen. Arrangements by Cooke-Campbell Mortuary, Maynardville.
