It is with a heavy heart, we let it be known that Robert B Ellison (R.B.)- 83 of Knoxville passed from this Earth, on the 23rd day of March, 2026. Robert B. Ellison (R.B.) lived a full life as a loving son, brother, husband and friend. Preceded in death by his parents, C. Dewey and Vesta England Ellison; brothers, Ernest & Charlie Ellison; sisters, Ruby, Oma Underwood & Nola Mae Peters.

After retiring from National Steel, Robert enjoyed many years of volunteer service to many interests of Historic Preservation. He served as CCHS & CCCA Board Member; UCHS President and Board Member; UCCA founding President & Board Member; ETPA member, PUC founding Board Member; Past Master of Powell Lodge #582. Member of Shriners, Scottish & York Rites, Lodge of Research, supporter of Shriners annual paper drive.

After 62 years of love and support, Robert is survived by wife, Ollie N. Kitts Ellison and many nieces, nephews and their extended families

The family will receive friends 5-7 PM Wednesday, April 1, 2026, at Powell Masters Masonic Lodge #244 F&AM, 7700 Fersner Road, Powell, with memorial service to follow at 7 PM, Brother Randy Dykes officiating.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Robert’s name to the Union County Cemeteries Associations
