Reverend Teddy R. “Ted” Seal – age 83 of Maynardville, passed away Tuesday, June 11, 2024 at his home. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. Ted loved his family and his church, and they loved him. He was a member of Chestnut Grove Missionary Baptist Church.

He is preceded in death by father, Tipton Haynes Seal; mother, Biddie Seal; father and mother-in-law, Reverend Charles and Marion Thomas; sisters, Betty Lindsey, Margaret Chester, Shirley Love, Doris Metz, Mary Tallent and Ella Faye Stork; and sister-in-law Thelma Seal. Ted is survived by wife, Katy Seal; sons and wives, Stacey and Melissa Seal of Maryville and Tipton and Jennifer Seal of Maynardville; 5 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren; brothers and wives, Frank Seal of Bossier City, Louisiana, Fred and Patty Seal of Wilbur, Arkansas and Doug and Faye Seal of Maynardville; former daughter-in-law, Theresa Seal, the mother of 3 of the grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews; and special friends, The Primitive Quartet and Journey Home Quartet and families, Mike Monroe, Gary and Kimberly Anderson, James and Joann Yadon and Brenda and Glenn Coppock and Gene Nicely.

The family will receive friends, 5:00 – 7:00 p.m., Friday, June 14, 2024 in the Trinity Funeral Home Chapel. The service to follow with Reverend Jerry Lynch officiating with music by Reverend Jerry and Pat Lynch. Family and friends will meet 10:00 a.m., Saturday, June 15, 2024 at Trinity to proceed to Seal Family Cemetery, Nave Hill Church Hill Rd., Maynardville for an 11:00 a.m. graveside service. Serving as Pallbearers are Mike Monroe, Gary Anderson, James Yadon, Gene Nicely, Leonard Nicely and Kevin Stork; Honorary Pallbearers, great grandsons.
