Phil Collins
Phil Collins age 66 went to be with his Jesus July 3, 2026. I lost my soulmate today of 49 years together. Our son has lost his father. His granddaughters lost their Papaw. His brothers and sisters lost another brother. His nieces and nephews lost their favorite uncle. But now he gets to join his mom and dad and his daughter in a Better Place. You are so lucky to have known this man who had the biggest heart, loved his Jesus, loved his family. He was a hardworking man and worked as a welder at Clayton Homes and Norfolk Southern Railway. We are very thankful for the time that we shared and the memories we have of this wonderful man.
He is preceded in death by his mom and dad, Margaret Lillian and Reverend Conley Austin Collins; his daughter, Temeriah Danielle Collins; father-in-law, Paul Keck; mother-in-law, Valalee Smith; his brothers, Robert, John, Jerry and Jack Collins; sisters, Gaynell Cox, Nancy Carter, Mary Tolliver, Shirley Collins; and great nephew, Riley Tolliver. Phil is survived by wife of 46 years, Chantay Collins; son, Andrew Collins; granddaughters, Kyla, Skyley and Ivy Collins; brothers, Paul (Jean Ann), Bill (Emma), Dale and Benny Collins; sisters, Anne (Larry) Walker, Sheila (Kenny) Mason and Renee (Lorne) Davis; sister-in-law, Leticia (Horace) Hundley; brothers-in-law, Marvin ((Deborah) and Kevin (Libby) Keck; and so many nieces, nephew, great nieces and nephews, and great great nieces and nephews. We want to thank Beacon Hospice for their excellent care of Phil. The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude for your love, prayers and support during this difficult time. We kindly ask that memorial donations be made to the Mountain View Church of God Youth Program, P. O. Box 263, Luttrell, Tennessee 37779, in honor of their loved one’s legacy and to help invest in the lives of young people.
The family will receive friends 1:00 – 3:00 p.m., Monday July 6, 2026 in the Trinity Funeral Home Chapel. A celebration of life will follow with Pastor LeBrandon Marie and Pastor Shane Courm officiating the service as family and friends gather to celebrate a life well lived and hope found in Christ. Following the service family and friends will proceed to Nave Hill Cemetery for the graveside service. Trinity Funeral Home, Maynardville, has the honor to serve the family of Phil Collins. 865-992-5002 www.trinityfuneralhome.net
