Matthew Harrison Cobb-age 42 of Knoxville passed away Wednesday, May 6, 2026. He graduated from Bearden High School and was an Eagle Scout. After high school, Matt enjoyed a career in IT and working with computers. He loved playing video games, watching movies, learning about history, listening to music, and spending time with friends, family, and his dog, Holmes. He was kind, thoughtful, and generous. Matt was deeply loved and will be greatly missed. Preceded in death by his father, Steven Cobb; uncles, Buddy Bounds, Mike Cobb and Bill Cobb; brother-in-law, Matthew Campbell.

He is survived by his wife of almost 13 years, Cynthia Cobb; mother, Susan Cobb; mother-in-law, Connie Campbell; sister, Rachel Weems and husband, Matt; nieces and nephews, Jaxon, Stella, Izzy, Vivian, Rhett, Harvey, Elizabeth, Madi; aunts, Sharon Bounds, Cindy Conner, Joyce Cobb; brothers-in-law, Anthony Campbell and wife, Chelsea, Alan Campbell and wife, Laurie, Stephen Campbell.

Graveside service 11 AM Saturday, May 9, 2026, at Narrow Ridge Cemetery, Washburn. Family and friends will meet 10 AM Saturday at the funeral home to go with the procession. If bringing flowers to the graveside the family requests to only bring cut flowers. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Narrow Ridge Earth Literacy Center.
