Martha Sylvania Breeding (Braden)- age 99 of Maynardville, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, September 27th, 2026. She was born May 31st, 1927, Martha was a long-standing member of Alder Springs Baptist Church and was a devoted Christian, wife, mom and mamaw.
She enjoyed the beach, quilting, reading, gardening and cooking for her family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert F. Breeding; her parents, James Marshall and Mary Ellen (Hopper) Braden; her sisters, Gladys Terry, Carrie Juanita Brantley, Mary Lee Maddox and Linda Jewell Hyden; her brothers, Ottis, James Homer, Archie and Henry Jordan Braden. She is survived by her children, Gail Breeding of Halls, Bill Breeding (Judy) of Maynardville, Olen Breeding (Sue) of Trussville, AL and Cheryl Breeding of New Tazewell; her 5 grandchildren Tabitha Lavacot (Dan), Billy Breeding (Tammy), Karen Bell-Williams (Thomas), Cindy Bell (Todd) and David Breeding; her 12 great grandchildren Nikki Wood, Christopher Bell, Kevina Loper, Elizabeth Breeding, Wade Williams, Emiljah Williams, Calum Lavacot, Tivis Williams, Sylas Williams, Charlise Boyce, Wrigley Williams and Ezekiel Williams; her 9 great, great grandchildren MaKennah, Madison, Hudson, Steele, Ridge, Colter, Lynnon, August, Crosby and #10 due in March.

The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 P.M. Thursday, October 1, 2026, at Alder Springs Baptist Church in Maynardville, followed by a funeral service at 7:00 P.M. with Reverend Jimmy Davidson officiating. Family and friends will meet at 10:00 A.M. Friday October 2, 2026 at Trinity Funeral Home to go in procession to New Loyston Memorial Gardens for an 11:00 A.M. graveside service.
