Jerry Lynn Rouse

Jerry Lynn Rouse-age 58 of Sharps Chapel, born March 8, 1968, went to his eternal home in heaven Sunday, October 4, 2026, at Parkwest Medical Center surrounded by his family. Jerry spent most of his life working on the farm and many years working alongside his good friend, Arthur Helms at Helms Construction. Jerry was known for his kind heart and his willingness to help others. The family takes comfort in knowing Jerry accepted Jesus Christ as his savior on Friday, October 2, 2026, just two days before his passing. Preceded in death by his mother, Joann Stooksbury Rouse; father, Arie Rouse; brothers, John “Johnny” D. Rouse and James “Jamie” Rouse.

He leaves behind his loving wife of 22 years, Tammy Rouse; children, Jessica (Jordan) Maples, Jeremy Rouse, Rachel Rouse; beloved grandchildren, Waylon and Kylie Maples; sisters, Judy Collins, Janice (Jerry) England, Rebecca Rouse as well as a host of nieces and nephews.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Claiborne Medical Center and Amedisys Home Health for their continuous care to Jerry during the duration of his illness, as well as the love they have shown and Parkwest Medical Center for the compassion and care Jerry received in the final days of his life.

The family will receive friends 5-7 p.m. Friday, October 9, 2026, Cooke-Campbell Mortuary. Funeral service 11 a.m. Saturday, October 10, 2026, Cooke-Campbell Mortuary Chapel, Rev. Tommy Louthan and Rev. Ronnie Wynn officiating with music by Savannah Cole, burial to follow at Taylors Grove Cemetery, Sharps Chapel. Pallbearers: Jarred Walker, Joshua Rouse, Arie Matthew Rouse, David Yadon, Justin Collins, Jessee England, Jacob Carter, Colby Gilbert. Honorary pallbearers: Arthur Helms, Rick Tolliver, and Dale Williams. Arrangements by Cooke-Campbell Mortuary, Maynardville.
