Janice K. Bowman – age 76 of Maynardville, passed away on July 19, 2026, at her home in Corryton. She was born on October 3, 1949, and was a member of Alder Springs Missionary Baptist Church in Maynardville. She was employed by the F.B.I.’s Knoxville Division for over thirty-seven years, retiring in 2005.

She is preceded in death by parents, Swan H. and Mary Elizabeth (Fancher) Kitts. Janice is survived by her loving family, daughter and son-in-law, Paula and Jason Booker; son and daughter-in-law, Travis and Tiffany Bowman; sister, Jean Kitts; grandchildren, Madison Booker, Evan Matthews, Aubrey Booker, Kya Matthews, Jeanne Booker, Haley Booker, Ava Bowman and Lauren Booker. Special thanks to Courtney Davis for her loving care and friendship.

The family will receive friends 5:00 – 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, July 22, 2026 in the Trinity Funeral Home Chapel. The service to follow with Reverend Jimmy Davidson and Reverend Steve Ailor officiating. Family and friends will meet at Trinity at 10:15 a.m., Thursday, July 23, 2026 to proceed to Monroe Cemetery for an 11:00 a.m. graveside service. Serving as Pallbearers, son-in-law, Jason Booker, grandson, Evan Matthews, Harrison Martin, Wayne Cole, Aaron Bowman and Daulton Engle; Honorary Pallbearers, the beloved “MAY BAN” guys.
