Janice Lynn (Buckner) Jones – age 80 of Maynardville, passed away peacefully and went to be with Jesus, Wednesday, February 28, 2024. She was a member of Cedar Grove Baptist Church and was a volunteer at Tennova North Hospital and for the Union County Election Commission. Janice loved the lake, ocean and RV’ing. Most of all she loved her husband, Rick, her children and grandchildren and spending time with them.

She is preceded in death by parents, Jack Buckner and Juanita Stooksbury; and son, Rodney Bunch. Janice is survived by husband, Rick Jones; sons, Shane (Nancy) Bunch and Jack (Brandi) Bunch; stepsons, Chris Jones and Marty Jones; grandchildren, Corey Jones, Dalton Jones, Lora Bunch Beeler, Rodney Bunch, Waylon Bunch, Lane Bunch, Jagger Bunch, Levi Bunch, Gregory Jones and Curtis Jones; great grandchildren, Hayden Jones, Cyrus Jones, Layla Beeler, Oakleigh Bunch and Hudson Jones.

The family will receive friends 5:00 – 7:00 p.m., Friday, March 1, 2024 in the Trinity Funeral Home Chapel. The service to follow with Reverend Fred Goodson and Reverend Brian Cooke officiating with music by Debbie Brantley and Beulah Moore. Family and friends will meet 1:00 p.m., Saturday, March 2, 2024 at Trinity to proceed to Pleasant View Cemetery for a 2:00 p.m. graveside service. Serving as pallbearers, Curtis Jones, Waylon Bunch, Lane Bunch, Jagger Bunch, Levi Bunch and Austin Beeler.
