James Franklin Doughty, Jr.-age 64 of Sharps Chapel passed away Saturday morning, February 7, 2026 at North Knoxville Medical Center. He was veteran of the U. S. Coast Guard and a retired electrician. Preceded in death by father, James Franklin Doughty, Sr.; nephew, Jeffery Shrader; brothers-in-law, Larry Shrader and William Jones.

Survivors: mother, Alma Doughty; sisters, Barbara Jones, Margaret Shrader, Marie Eiler and husband, Greg, all of Sharps Chapel. Nephews, Billy Jones, Chris Hizer, Paul Shrader and David Smith along with a host of friends.

A gathering of friends and family will be held at James’ home 5-7 p.m. Friday, February 13, 2026. Arrangements by Cooke-Campbell Mortuary, Maynardville.
