Frank William Thomas, Sr.-age 84 of Maynardville, born September 20, 1941, passed away Wednesday, April 29, 2026. He was a lifetime member of J.C. Baker Lodge, was of the Baptist faith and he was an Army Veteran. He is preceded in death by his son, Frank W. “Bill” Thomas, Jr.; parents, Rev. Charles and Marion Thomas; brothers, Charles V. Thomas Jr., Lowell Thomas; infant sister, Martha Jo Thomas.

He is survived by the mother of his children, Doris Thomas Lewis; daughter, Rita Ann Thomas Wyrick; 3 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren 3 great-great-grandchildren; sister, Katy Seal and husband Ted; brother, Terry Thomas and wife Barbara.

Interment service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Sunday, May 10, 2026, at Seal and Thomas Cemetery in Maynardville, Rev. Richard Nicley officiating, music by Linda Nicley. Family and friends will meet at the funeral home at 9:45 A.M. on Sunday to go with the funeral procession. Family and friends will meet at Katy Seal’s home at the conclusion of the interment service.
