Ernest D. Foust-age 87, born September 30, 1938 in Harlan, Kentucky and was a life-time resident of Maynardville, passed away Saturday, May 23, 2026 at his home. He was of the Baptist faith and loved to hear the gospel. Ernest was a guitar player, collector and enjoyed working on lawn mowers. He was preceded in death by sons, Michael and Jeffrey Foust; parents, Clarence and Eva Foust; brothers, Lawrence and Denver Foust.

Survivors: children, Jerry, Gayle, Debbie, Shelia, Teresa, James (Boone), Timothy and Christy. Sisters, Audrey Everhart and Ruby Odom, both of Maynardville. Many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Several nieces and nephews along with a host of friends.

A graveside service will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 26, 2026, Ousley Cemetery, Maynardville. Family and friends will meet at the cemetery by 1:45 p.m. Tuesday.
