Chester Wayne Hutchison-age 62 of Andersonville in Union County went to be with Lord on Friday, September 29, 2023 at North Knoxville Medical Center. He was saved at an early age and often visited area churches and sung songs of praise. Chester loved to sing southern gospel music, the McKamey’s were his favorite group, and had even recorded his own music. He was a former employee of the Union County Courthouse. Preceded in death by his parents, Clifford and Trula (Witt) Hutchison; brothers, Lonnie Hutchison, Thurman Hutchison; nephew, Kyle Burgen and several other family members.

He is survived by his sister, Charlene Pelfrey and husband, Darrell; brothers, Ricky Hutchison and wife, Donna, Fred Hutchison, Allen Hutchison; uncle, Kenneth Hutchison and wife, Joyce; nieces and nephews, Christy, Aaron, Justin, Teresa, Jena, Josh (Adrienne). Chester didn’t have any biological children, but helped raise six children “The Babies” he called them. Nieces he helped raise, Abigail and Kayla; caregiver for the children of Abigail (Quinton)Copeland, Jakob and Annelise, children of Kayla Burgan, Addison and Emberlee. He talked about them often and was proud of “The Babies”. He loved his nieces and nephews. Special friends, Betty Waggoner, the Grissom Family and Susie Bailey.

Graveside service 2 p.m. Tuesday, October 3, 2023, at Hutchison Cemetery, Andersonville, Rev. Robin Ryder, Elder Smith officiating, special song by Elder Beavers. Pallbearers: Quintin Copeland, Aaron Hutchison, Allen LaBounty, Johnny Noland, Tyler Woods, Alex Sheppard. Please meet at the cemetery at 1:45 p.m. Tuesday.
