Betty Ruth Vandergriff-age 86 of Maynardville, born to Atticus and Rachel Woolard on July 20, 1939, in Union County, passed away Friday, February 13, 2026, at the home of her daughter in Brookston, Indiana. Preceded in death by her husband, Robert Lee Vandergriff, that she married on July 27, 1956; her parents, Atticus and Rachel Woolard; son, Kenneth Vandergriff; daughter, Vicki Dillie.

She is survived by her children, Robin Burge (Tim), and Bobby Vandergriff; she was a proud grandmother to nine grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, and nine great-great-grandchildren. She had 14 brothers and sisters.

Betty had a vibrant spirit with such Beautiful Smile she enjoyed dancing, gardening. She especially loved cooking and the time spent sharing family dinners with her loved ones. She also loved her Dog Knuckles.

The family will receive friends 12-2 PM Saturday, February 21, 2026, with funeral service to follow at 2 PM Saturday, Cooke-Campbell Mortuary Chapel, Rev. Richard Nicley officiating, with music by Rev. Richard and Linda Nicley. Interment to follow at Dyer Cemetery, Powder Springs. Pallbearers: Family and friends.
