Alfred Ray, age 69 of Sharps Chapel passed away peacefully Tuesday morning, April 28, 2026. He is survived by his siblings, Earl Ray, Glenn Ray, Lynn Ray, Irene Tolliver, and several special nieces and nephews.
Alfred was a devoted member of Oak Grove Primitive Baptist Church, where his life reflected a deep and abiding love for the Lord. He was a man of quiet strength, steady faith, and a heart that spoke louder than words ever could. To know him was to feel kindness, gentleness, and a genuine spirit that left a lasting impression on everyone he met.
He was more than family—he was a cherished uncle, a dear friend, and a light in the lives of so many. He was also a very special papaw to Savannah and Payton Creech, whom he loved deeply and held close to his heart. Alfred’s life was a testimony of unwavering faith and simple goodness, and he loved the Lord with his whole heart. While his presence here will be deeply missed, we find comfort in knowing he is now at peace, free from suffering, and resting in the presence of the One he loved so dearly.
