Last month the Tennessee Department of Transportation informed Plainview City officials that a four-way stop is planned for the intersection of SR 131 Tazewell Pike, SR 144 Ailor Gap and Corryton Road.

TDOT will begin to install stop signs, warning signs and red reflective strips on posts over the next six to eight weeks. Road surfaces will also have stop bars and warning strips to alert drivers of the change at the intersection.

NASHVILLE – Road construction won’t slow motorists across Tennessee over the July 4 holiday. The Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT) will suspend all construction-related lane closures on interstates and state routes beginning at noon on Wednesday, July 3, through 6 a.m. on Monday, July 8, to provide maximum roadway capacity for holiday travelers.
