The Union County High School Boys Basketball Team achieved a milestone in 2024 by competing in the Class 3A Sub-state Sectional. The team's 22-11 win-loss record with a district record of 6-4 or 60% propelled the Patriots to a round 1 game with Cumberland Gap in the district tournament in Scott County. The team handily put away the Panthers 83-69. A loss to Clinton in the District Semi-final resulted in a game for 3rd place with the Scott County Highlanders.

Union County Baseball became the official TSSAA Class 2A State Champs on May 26 with an 8-2 win over Milan at the Reese Smith Jr. Baseball Field in Murfreesboro. The game was tied until the 8th inning when Max Richardson hit several foul balls and finally forced a walk. Max’s “quality at bat” ignited the energy the Patriots needed to drive in six more runs and bring home the state title.

Union County High School Class of 2019 students have now made their last entrance as seniors and students at UCHS. On May 14, at the Senior Brunch and Awards Ceremony, students were congratulated and honored with an estimate of a half million dollars in scholarship funds being presented.
