Wrildia Blackburn

Wrildia Blackburn, age 88, went to be with the Lord Saturday, October 13, 2018. She was a member of Roseberry Baptist Church. She was the Christian mother anyone would want. Everyone that met her, loved her, and she loved everyone. She never found fault in people. She will be sorely missed. She is preceded in death by husband John E. Blackburn, mother Roxie Wyrick, father Lon Wyrick, and brothers: Claude, Charles, and Dee Wyrick. Survivors include daughters Karen Sharp and Kimberly Blackburn.

Shelby Dwight Huff

Shelby Dwight Huff, 86, entered heaven on October 13. He is survived by his loving wife of 69 years, Margie Satterfield Huff. Also survived by children Dennis Huff, Becky (David) Mink; granddaughter Kendra (Matt) Keaton; and great granddaughter Kingsley Keaton. Also survived by sisters Bettie (Tony) Bowden and Inez Rice, brother Gene Huff, brothers-in-law Roger (Nedra) Satterfield and Gerald (Freda) Satterfield, and many nieces and nephews.

Robin Charlene Shultz

Robin Charlene Shultz, age 50 of Knoxville, went to be with her Heavenly Father October 12, 2018. She was a member of Dante Church of God, where she loved to worship Jesus. She was a huge “Big Orange” fan and a proud “Mimi”. She enjoyed hiking, fishing, being at the camper, and loved her some sweets, but spending time with her family was the most important thing to her. Robin was a loving wife and a wonderful mother, who always put the needs of others before her own. She is preceded in death by mother Helen Wrinkle, father-in-law Robert Shultz, and brother-in-law Brad Shultz.

James Matthew Roach

James “Matthew” Roach – age 33 of New Tazewell, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, October 11, 2018. Matthew was a member of Carr’s Branch Baptist Church.

Matthew is preceded in death by grandparents; Matt England and James and Pauline Roach. He is survived by his son, Dylan Roach; parents, Jimmy and Kathy Roach; sister, Bethany (Keith) Grubb; grandmother, Roberta England; niece, Savannah Grubb; nephew, Brody Grubb; and several aunts and uncles.

Herbert "Herb" McDaniel

Herbert “Herb” McDaniel, age 80, passed away October 6, 2018. He was of the Baptist faith. Herb loved music, fishing, his grandchildren, and his cat Midnight. Preceded in death by parents William and Margaret Sharp; grandmother Dollie Griggs. Survived by daughter Cathy Reynolds (Mike); grandson Billy Lawson (Crissy); great-grandson Damon Lawson; great-granddaughter Lillie Lawson; sisters, Helen Woods (Harry) and Sharon Canada; brother Dennis Sharp (Terri); several nieces and nephews.

Bruce Walker Thomas

Bruce Walker Thomas, age 76 passed away peacefully at his home in Knoxville on Friday, October 5, 2018. Bruce spent several years living in Matthews, NC and the n returned to Knoxville where he was a member of Black Oak Heights Baptist Church. Bruce was a devoted NASCAR fan and an avid pool player, but mostly enjoyed spending time with his family. Bruce was Honorably Discharged from the US Marine Corps in 1967 where he then joined the family business at Mavis Shoes on Market Square.

Hugh W. Kitts

Hugh W. Kitts-age 59 of Maynardville passed away Saturday, October 6, 2018 at North Knoxville Medical Center. He was a member of Hubbs Grove Missionary Baptist Church. Hugh was an employee of the Union County Highway Department. Preceded in death by father, V. H. Kitts, Jr.

Survivors: son, Cody Kitts and girlfriend, Kimberly Kiser; mother, Pearl Kitts. Two special nephews, Bryan and Keith Monroe.

Melinda D. Shook

Melinda Dove Shook-age 43 of Dandridge, born February 14, 1975 went home to be with the Lord Friday, October 5, 2018 after a long illness at Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center. She was saved at Lighthouse Baptist Church, Knoxville. Preceded in death by father, William Johnson; sister, Shannon Johnson; brother, Robbie Johnson.

Rosalynne F. Pickle

Rosalynne Faye Pickle-age 60 of Maynardville passed awy suddenly Thursday morning, October 4, 2018 at her home. She was a Christian of the Baptist faith. Preceded in death by daughter, Wanda Leedy; sister, Debbie Long.
Survivors: daughter, Candie Carroll and husband, Steven Crawford; son, Chad Lee Karlstrom, all of Maynardville; grandchildren, Danica Karlstrom, Braiden Crawford, Colin Karlstrom, Christina Mills, Jennifer Rhodes, Michael Rhodes along with other grandchildren and a host of friends.

Bonnie L. Profitt

Bonnie Lou Profitt, age 77 of Ridgeview Terrance, Rutledge went to be with the Lord on Thursday, October 4, 2018 after passing peacefully of natural causes. Bonnie was born in Winchester, Kentucky on September 8, 1941 to Ida Estes and Claude Estes. Bonnie committed the bulk of her life to being a devoted and loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a long-time resident of Knoxville, Tennessee and lived in the Halls Community for over 20 years. Bonnie was a member of Highland View Baptist Church in Halls, where she was also baptized.

Leonard Lee Wolfenbarger

Leonard Lee Wolfenbarger, age 69, of Knoxville passed away on October 5, 2018 with his wife and son at his side. He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Darline Wolfenbarger. He was born on July 26, 1949 and was a graduate of Gibbs High School and LMU. Mr. Wolfenbarger was a retired Knox County teacher with 30 years of service. He was a member of Emory Valley Baptist Church for 54 years.

Martha "Dolly" Hensley

Martha “Dolly” Carter Hensley-age 79 of Luttrell passed away Monday, October 1, 2018 at Physicians Regional Medical Center surrounded by her family and friends. She will be greatly missed. Dolly was a member of Luttrell Missionary Baptist Church. Preceded in death by husband, William “Dick” Hensley; parents, Judas and Easter Carter, three brothers and two sisters.

Wanda E. Walker Wright

Wanda E. Walker Wright, age 89, of Maynardville passed away on October 1, 2018 at Beverly Park Place. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Maynardville. She was preceded in death by her father & mother, McKinley & Pearl Lynch, brother, Dr. Kenneth Lynch, and late husband, Paris (Bob) Walker.

Ruth England

Ruth England-age 79 of Sharps Chapel, born May 25, 1939 passed away Monday afternoon, October 1, 2018 at her home. She was a loving wife of 63 years, a wonderful mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a devoted church member of Taylor’s Grove Baptist Church. Preceded in death by son, Jwill (Bub) England; parents, Rob and Ada Duncan; sister, Ella Halsey.

John L. Lewis

John L. Lewis – age 58 of Sharps Chapel, went home to be with the Lord on October 1, 2018. He was of the Baptist faith. John was a self-employed mechanic for many years and a former employee of Clayton Homes.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Dewey Lewis and Peggy Wells; three sisters; and eight brothers. John is survived by sisters, Letha Lewis, Clara (Tim) Dykes, Brenda (Bob) Keller, Sandra Eastridge and Dorothy (Vagelis) Makris; brother, Ronnie Lewis; and several nieces, nephews and family members.

Mary Helen (Marcum) Moore

Moore, Mary Helen (Marcum), "Mammaw" - age 84 of Mt. Juliet, TN entered into the arms of Jesus on Saturday, September 29, 2018. Mrs. Moore was born on July 31, 1934 in Knoxville, TN. She was a devoted Christian and a true Servant of the Lord Jesus. She was retired from St. Mary's Medical Center and Walmart, and volunteered for several years after retirement at St. Mary's Medical Center as a Pink Lady. She is preceded in death by her husband of 52 years Charles (Chuck) Douglas Moore; parents, Sam and Bessie Marcum, brothers; S.R.

James E. "Jim" Heath

James E. "Jim" Heath, age 91, of Powell went to be with the Lord on September 29, 2018. He was a 1949 graduate of Tennessee Wesleyan College. He was a member of the United States Armed Forces for 4 years. He was employed by State Farm Insurance Company and retired after 31 years of service. He was a longtime member of Beaver Brook Country Club. He was an avid golfer, reader and Lady Vols enthusiast. He was baptized at an early age at Salem Baptist Church.

Susan Diane Davis

Susan Diane (Hopson) Davis-age 59 of Knoxville went home to be with the Lord on Friday, September 28, 2018 at her home surrounded by her family. She was a loyal member of Ridgeview Heights Missionary Baptist Church. She was the daughter of the late Lloyd Clayton and Beulah Hopson.

Survived by her husband, Thurman Davis of Knoxville; daughter and son-in-law, Christina “Chrissy” and Justin Kilby of Maynardville. Several nieces, nephews and a host of special friends.
