Richard Kent Haggard-age 32 of New Market passed away suddenly, Sunday, August 23, 2026, at his home. He was a bright, happy person whom everyone loved. Richard was a kind and caring person. He always touched everyone’s hearts. He was a great Dad and a wonderful man with a bright, funny, beautiful, caring soul. He brought love, life and laughter to everyone who knew him, as well as those he met. He would give anyone the shirt off his back, if they needed it. He loved everyone with his whole heart. A beautiful and loving soul gone too soon.

Preceded in death by his father, Richard C. Haggard; grandparents, Delbert and Ruby Haggard; granny, Lynn Cobble; aunt, Anita Watts; uncles, John “Dickie” Maples, Mike Watts David N. Maples.

He is survived by his mother, Cheryl Lynn Roper and stepdad, Brian Jackson; sons, Eli Haggard and Bentley Haggard; fiancé, Kristal Gomez; stepson, Axel Gomez; brother, Jaccob C. Haggard; papaw, Tom F. Cobble, Sr.; aunts, Yelonda Duncan, Angie Acevedo; uncles, Jim Haggard, Steve Haggard; cousins, Tiffany Maples, Kevin Maples, Austin Watts, Bradley Watts, Allen Arp, many nieces and nephews and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
