Rev. David Gordan Evans – age 74 of Luttrell, born June 2, 1950, passed away on Friday, May 9, 2025. He was a member of Atlantic Ave. Baptist Church. He preached for over 40 years and was a custodian for Knox County Schools for many years. He is preceded in death by his parents, Sam and Dorothy Evans.

He is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Martha Evans; daughter, Tammy Anderson (Paul); grandsons, Derek Anderson, Reece Anderson; 2 great-granddaughters.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 13, 2025, at Cooke-Campbell Mortuary with a funeral service to follow at 8:00 p.m., officiated by Rev. Eddie Seals. Graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 14, 2025, at New Gray Cemetery, 2724 Western Ave, Knoxville, TN 37921. Pallbearers will be, Derek Anderson, Reece Anderson, Brady Anderson, Dillon Anderson, Tyler Anderson, T.J. Nix. Family and friends will meet at New Gray Cemetery at 1:45 p.m. on Wednesday. Arrangements by Cooke-Campbell Mortuary in Maynardville.
