Douglas Wayne Riffey

Douglas Wayne Riffey – age 65, passed away on July 30, 2025 after a tireless fight with heart failure. Doug will be forever loved for his kindness, sense of humor and lifelong service to those around him. He was the embodiment of a girl-dad and a wonderful husband, brother and friend. His faith was very important to him and was an active member of Church of Christ. Doug loved fried food, Christmas, Gunsmoke, mowing and his “jibber” dogs, in no particular order. There is not enough time to share all his strengths on the page, but his legacy will live on in those he loved.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Virginia Riffey; and older brother, Russell Riffey. Doug is survived by his loving wife of over three decades, Suzanne Riffey; his daughters, Tallitha Job, Celia Riffey and Olivia Riffey; sons-in-law, Juston Job, Rodney Pointer and Dallas Donohoe; brother, Michael Riffey; sisters-in-law, Vickie Riffey, Linda Riffey, Jill Wakeman, Debbie Irwin and Sharon Weis; brother-in-law, Robert Weis; nieces and nephews, Brian Riffey, Kevin Riffey, Holly Riffey, Adam and Marleah Thurman, Rebecca and Burt Satterfield, Katie Phillips, Clint Holland and Drew Holland.
Family and friends will meet 10:45 a.m., Wednesday, August 6, 2025 at Lynnhurst Cemetery on Adair Drive for an 11:00 a.m. graveside service with Reverend Mark Brackney officiating. Trinity Funeral Home, Maynardville, has the honor of serving the family of Doug Riffey. 865-992-5002 www.trinityfuneralhome.net
