Dennis Ray Dyer-age 77 of Luttrell passed away Friday evening, August 29, 2025 at his home. He was a member of Willow Springs Baptist Church and a U. S. Army Veteran of the Viet Nam War. Retired employee of Scripps Networks. Dennis was a devoted husband, father, step-father, papaw and a friend to all who knew him. Preceded in death by parents, Lester and Oreice (Kitts) Dyer; infant sister, Edna Lucille Dyer; brothers, Kenneth Dyer, James Dyer and Charlie Dyer.

Survivors: wife of 25 years, Pat Dyer; five children, Chris Dyer (Jennifer Reynolds); Jason Cannon (Rachel Foco); Jeff Phillips (Jenny); Brian Phillips (Stacy); Holly McBee (Joey). Eight grandchildren, Christopher Dyer, Haley Thorpe, Bree Phillips, Ashlyn Phillips, Kennedy, Kylie and Kenzy McBee; Malaysia Thomas. Sister, Virgie Hickle. Several nieces and nephews along with a host of friends.

The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Monday, September 1, 2025 with the funeral service to follow at 8 p.m. Monday, Cooke-Campbell Mortuary Chapel, Rev. Canaan Blankenship, Rev. Mike Viles officiating. Interment 1 p.m. Tuesday, Haun Cemetery, Tater Valley Road, Luttrell. Military honors by Tri-County Veterans Honor Guard. Pallbearers: Chris Dyer, Tommy Campbell, Jerry Shumate, Jeff Phillips, Jason Cannon, Brian Phillips. Arrangements by Cooke-Campbell Mortuary, Maynardville.
