David proudly enlisted in the United States Air Force on June 13, 1969, and served his country with honor until his discharge on June 12, 1975. His years of military service reflected the courage, integrity, and unwavering dedication that would continue to define the way he lived his life. The values of honor, service, and perseverance remained with him long after his military career ended.

Above all, David was a family man. He was the loving father of Melinda Sexton Boggs and found his greatest joy in spending time with those he loved. He was a proud grandfather to Chris Foust, Victoria Foust, and Jayce Boggs, and a devoted great-grandfather to Arabella Foust, Asa Foust, and Eliana Lopez. His family was the center of his world, and every moment shared with them was deeply cherished.

When David wasn’t with his family, you could often find him in his wood shop. He had a true passion for woodworking and took great pride in building beautiful, handcrafted pieces for his family and for himself. Whether creating something practical or something made simply with love, every project reflected his patience, skill, and generous heart. Those treasured pieces will remain lasting reminders of the care and love he poured into everything he built.

David will be remembered for his quiet strength, kind heart, unwavering work ethic, and willingness to lend a helping hand. His wisdom, gentle spirit, and love for creating with his hands touched the lives of everyone who knew him.

Though his earthly journey has come to an end, David’s legacy lives on in the family he loved the memories he created, and the craftsmanship he leaves behind. His life was one of service, dedication, and unconditional love—a life well lived and deeply appreciated.
