The Tennessee Valley Coalition for the Homeless will be at Heritage Park in Maynardville on Thursday, May 21. They will bring their Shower Trailer, along with free clothing, hygiene products, and resource information. Camping out? Was the water turned off at your house? TN Valley Coalition for the Homeless is a non-profit organization with three primary goals. They work to house the homeless, educate the community, and provide permanent solutions to homelessness in 12 East TN counties.

One goal is homeless prevention. To that end, they have some Flex funds and can offer temporary rental assistance, utility assistance, a housing program for people with disabilities who face chronic homelessness, and other services to folks. Their work is strictly rural; they do not work within the cities of these counties. Anyone who is homeless or facing homelessness can request help by calling 888-556-0791.
