The UCHS Tennis Team ended the year on a high note. The Boys snatched first place in the South Section of the District with a 3-1 record and finished with 8 wins to 2 losses after the District Tournament. In the boys singles for the season, Jaxon Bailey (10-4), Max Corum (12-2), Lathan Garner (14-1), Braylon Graves (11-3), Zachary Clark (12-2), Tucker Odom, (6-1), and Luke Williams (2-1) achieved winning records. Jace Walker at the number one singles position took on the best of the district and posted a 6-7 record overall.

The girls improved but many times lost on the last serve. The girls posted a 1-3 in the South Section and a 3-8 in the District. The girls fought through challenges and saw Saria Chapell win the majority of her individual singles matches at position six with a record of 8-6. Ella Branscomb and Hannah Groot combined in doubles to see a victorious year of 6-5.

The UCHS Tennis Team excells not just on the court but also in the classroom. The team GPA is 3.91. Nine members have a 4.0 GPA. Five seniors will graduate this year including Jace Walker, Ava Buckner, Hannah Groot, Saria Chapell, and Travyn Farmer. This team has set a mark of excellent performance for those who follow. Coaches Mike Johnson and Ella Johnson have done an outstanding job to grow the talent at UCHS.
