UCBPA learns about veterans resources in East TN

Paul Ollis addresses UCBPA on area resources for vets.
Paul Ollis addressed the Union County Business & Professional Association regarding the East Tennessee Military Affairs Council at the May meeting. The council was formed as a nonprofit by the Knoxville Chamber of Commerce to facilitate and coordinate information about services and resources for veterans in the East Tennessee region. The council meets on the first Thursday of each month at 8:30 at the Knoxville Chamber on Market Square. The council offers information from over 50 area organizations that help military families and veterans. All Veteran service officers are particularly encouraged to attend. Besides individual veterans’ services, the council sponsors Wreaths Across America, Free Breakfasts for Veterans and Honor Air. The next meetings are June 5 and July 10 (2nd Thursday due to the July 4 holiday). First Horizon Bank sponsors many of the projects.
UCBPA will hear a legislation update regarding laws affecting Union County and business in particular at the meeting on June 10. The meeting is at 12:15 p.m. in the Maynardville City Hall.
