Calling all motorcycle riders! Join the American Legion Post 212 for this annual ride to the Veterans Overlook at Clinch Mountain, a scenic roadside memorial and viewpoint in Grainger County.
The Veterans Overlook has monuments, historical plaques, a prominent POW/MIA memorial, and a dedicated tribute to young men and women from East Tennessee who served in the Vietnam War. The panoramic views are breathtaking. There are sweeping views of the lower valley, Cherokee Lake, the German Creek Bridge, and, in the distance, the Great Smoky Mountains.
Jeep clubs, or any other non-riders who want to support the cause, are most welcome! Registration fees are $20 for a single rider and $30 with a passenger. The American Legion Post 212 uses these fees to help support Veterans and Veteran families in need, widows, any community youth organizations, Christmas presents for children who would not receive any, Christmas boxes for the Veterans Home, camp fees for Boys/Girls State, and any other community needs that come up during the year. They really appreciate any support and put it to good use.
Registration begins after 11:00 am. Kickstands up at 1 pm.
See you then!!
