A Short Walk with Jesus
The following is the recount of an accident that happened to Tommy Berry told in his own words. Prepare for goosebumps.
Tuesday, May 6th of 2025 I started out my workday like any other, but to my surprise it would be a day that I would remember forever.
I was making a delivery to a place called Little Caney. As I was on the narrow road in the holler, almost to where I was going, the side of the road broke off under my wheels. The truck tumbled down the side of the hill. I don’t know how many times it rolled and I did not know what was going to happen to me.
As the truck came to a stop against a tree, I realized my head was busted open and bleeding. All I could say was, “Help me Jesus”. Jesus went into action and told me to bust a hole in the front window and He helped me get out.
I tumbled to the ground. He then helped me to my feet and took me up the hillside to the road.
Then Jesus told me I was not far from where I was going.
As I was bleeding bad from my head He held me up and walked me toward the man’s house. The road we were on was a straight road. Jesus told me to holler once, but no one came. A little further He told me to holler again. Again, no one came. He told me to holler a third time, and I saw a man coming down the road. He came and helped me to his house, then he called and got me help.
To my amazement I went back a few days later and the road was curvy and had hills I had to climb.
What I’m saying is that the road I was on with Jesus was straight from the time I wrecked until He got me help.
What an amazing God we have. I thank him for sparing my life that day and walking with me.
I will never forget the blessing and the peace that surpassed all understanding that day.
Jesus walked the short walk with me, and I am proud to call Him my Lord forevermore.
