Cyn Taylor has joined the ranks of local authors who once called — or still call — Halls Crossroads home. Taylor is now featured on one of the museum’s special section shelves alongside a number of her writing peers.
Chris Vandergriff, the unofficial mayor of Halls, along with the board members of the Halls Crossroads Historical Museum, are taking their roles as curators seriously. The museum is filled to the brim with memories of days gone by along with newer additions such as the local authors’ shelf — a fitting tribute to the creative voices rooted in this community.
The museum continues to grow, consistently adding memorabilia, with some items dating as far back as the 1800s.
“We hope to make the museum bigger and better as we continue to acquire historical pieces and information,” said Vandergriff.
The Halls Crossroads Historical Museum is located at Birch Tree Plaza, 7119 Afton Drive, Knoxville TN. Hours are Wednesdays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sundays from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. If you haven't stopped by yet, make plans to visit soon. Halls residents may be surprised to discover their own name or photo among the many faces and stories displayed on the museum's historical walls.
Taylor is a multi-published, best-selling author whose book Dad on the Run, co-authored with her daughter Christa Brogan, reached number one on a best-seller list and held that position for five days. Taylor currently has twenty-six books on the market, spanning genres from Romantic Suspense and Speculative Fiction to Cozy Mysteries.
