HMMS is a Beta School of Merit

Horace Maynard Middle School has been named a 2024-2025 National Beta School of Merit. The school earned this recognition by offering National Beta to all eligible grade levels on campus.
The National Beta School of Merit Award honors clubs that show outstanding dedication to academic excellence. To receive this distinction, schools must include members from all eligible grades in their Beta program.
This recognition highlights the hard work of HMMS Beta students and the leadership of club sponsor Donna Eagle, whose commitment has allowed students to grow in character, service, and leadership.
In a congratulatory letter, National Beta CEO Bobby Hart wrote, “Thank you for your continued support of National Beta and commitment to developing future leaders!”
“I am so proud of our Beta students for the time and effort they dedicate not only to their academics, but also to serving our school and community,” said Donna Eagle, HMMS Beta Club sponsor. “This honor reflects their hard work and determination, and I know they will continue to make a positive impact as future leaders.”
With more than 500,000 active members and 14,000 clubs worldwide, National Beta is the largest independent, non-profit, educational youth organization in the nation. The program recognizes outstanding achievement, promotes character and social responsibility, encourages school and community service, and fosters leadership skills. HMMS is very proud of their Beta Devils!
