HMMS Hosts Fourth Annual Turnaround Breakfast, Celebrating Student Success
Horace Maynard Middle School faculty and staff enjoyed one of the highlights of their school year this past Saturday as they hosted the fourth annual Turnaround Breakfast, an invite-only event dedicated to celebrating student success.
The breakfast honors students and their families who have demonstrated tremendous gains in the current school year, whether academically, behaviorally, or both. These students have "turned it around," transforming their performance and commitment to their education.
"This event is truly special," said Tobi Kilgore. "It’s a powerful moment for us to recognize the hard work, perseverance, and dedication of these students. More importantly, it celebrates the partnership between our school and their families, which makes these turnarounds possible."
The Turnaround Breakfast has become a cherished annual tradition, eagerly anticipated by the entire HMMS staff. The morning offered a chance for students to be recognized publicly for their resilience and growth, underscoring the school’s commitment to celebrating success.
The faculty and staff look forward to continuing this tradition for years to come. Also, a special thank you to Ms. Danielle Battles for taking the lead organizing this event and every staff member who helped put this breakfast together.
