A Meet the Candidates event will be held at 7:00 pm on Thursday June 25th at the Sharps Chapel Community Center at 1520 Sharps Chapel Rd.

Candidates who have indicated that they will attend this Meet the Candidates event include, but are not limited to, Pam Ailor, Mark Massengile (County Clerk); Jason Bailey (County Mayor); Ann Russell (Register of Deeds); Bobby Johnson (Committeeman, District 8); Deborah Bailey (Committeeman, District 8); Jerry Lawson, Rick Carter (Sheriff); and Noah Smith (Representative-36th District). Others may be attending as well.

This will be an opportunity to hear each candidate’s plans and ask any pertinent questions about their campaign platform and agenda. An informed voter recognizes the importance of their vote and educates themselves on where the various candidates stand on different issues. If you want to ensure you are prepared and informed, it is important to seek information from as many trusted sources as possible. (Polite conversation only).
