Apple Pruning Workshop Set for February 19 in Maynardville
The Union County Extension Office will host an Apple Pruning Workshop on February 19, 2026, offering homeowners, gardeners, and hobby orchardists an opportunity to learn proper techniques for maintaining healthy, productive apple trees.
The workshop will take place from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. at the Union County Extension Office, located at 2721 Maynardville Highway, Maynardville, TN 37807. Those with questions may contact the office at 865-992-8038.
Participants will receive hands-on instruction on pruning both young and mature apple trees. The demonstration will cover when and how to prune, how to encourage strong tree structure, and how proper pruning can improve fruit quality and long-term tree health. The session is designed to benefit both beginners and those looking to refine their orchard management skills.
The workshop is offered through UT Extension as part of its mission to provide practical, research-based education to the community.
